A Second Chance

A fresh start

A few days later.

Jessica woke up and smelled breakfast, so she went downstairs.

Things looked different, but she just went with it.

"Good morning, beautiful! Sit down, breakfast is ready." Danny gives her a kiss.

"We have to enjoy these meals with everyone home while we can!"

"Yeah, just a week before James and I head back to OU!" Sam says.

Jessica sat down and everyone sat around talking and laughing.

"Jessica felt so happy. Her boys were all home, Danny and Zachary were there. They felt like a family.

Later that day Danny was working on a little swing set for Grayson, and the older boys were all at home playing video games.

"Mama, where Danny?" Grayson lifts his little hands.

Danny's working on something, he should be finished in a second." Jessica smiles.

"Jess, Gray.. I'm all done."

"Gray, let's go see what Danny made!"

"Go! Go! Go!" Grayson jumps up and down, then runs around quickly.

"Look at little Happy Feet!" Jessica laughs.

Danny picks him up and they go outside.

"My Danny!" He smiles and pats his back.

"Awe!" Jessica gushes.

"Look baby! Look what your Danny gave you!"

"Ahh!" He wiggles his body, so Danny puts him down.

He runs to the small slide and grabs on.

Danny and Jessica laugh at him lifting his leg into the ladder and hanging on tight.

"Let me help you, bud." Danny walks over and sits him on the slide.

Jessica kneels down in front of it and smiles.

"Slide down to mama, baby!"

Grayson slides down and giggles.

"Awe you're so cute!"

"Again! Again!" He runs to Danny and does it all over again.

"Awe you love it, don't you?" Jessica smiles.

"Yes!"

"Say thank you to Danny!"

"Thank you, Danny!" Grayson hugs him tight and wraps his legs around him.

Danny holds him and walks over to Jessica.

He grabs her hand and helps her up.
