That night Danny took Jessica out for a nice romantic dinner just the two of them. It was their last Valentine's Day before the baby came, and he wanted it to be special.

Before they left, they dropped Grayson off at Sam's mother's house.

"Hi grandma!"

"Hi baby!"

"I made you a Valentine's Day card at school!"

"Awe you did?! Thank you so much, sweet boy!"

"You're welcome! I made one for my mommy and one for my baby sister, and my daddy too!"

Jane chuckles and looks at Jessica.
"Look at you!"

"I know, I'm huge!"

"Pregnancy has always looked so great on you, precious." Jane holds her face in her hand.

"Hi Daniel!" Jane smiles at Danny as he walks in.

"Hello Mrs. Shepard, how are you?"

"I'm doing well, thank you!  What do you two have planned for tonight?"

"I'm gonna take Jessie to that new steak house."

"Oh yes! I heard that place it delicious!"

"Yay! I can't wait!" Jessica giggles.

"You be good for grandma, okay Grayson?"

"Yes, mama." He smiles and nods.

"I'm serious. Like it's so good! I think I'm gonna have an orgasm." Jessica says nonchalantly.

"Haha! I'm watching." Danny smirks.

"Oh gosh!" Jessica rolls her eyes.

"Heh! Babe, Grayson at Jane's, James and Caroline are staying at a bed and breakfast for the night.. Sam is out.. We have the house to ourselves for a while, you know what that means?"

"Have sex and be as loud as we want!" Jessica smiles.

"Yes!! Let's hurry up and get home!"

"Yes!! But we need dessert first!"

"You're my dessert." He smirks.

"Oh Ha-Ha, Daniel. Nice one, I'm getting cake!"

"Okay!" He chuckles.

"And pie!"

"Great, we can share!"

"Um.. No! Get your own!"

"It's cake AND pie!"

Jessica just gives him a look and Danny stops talking.

"I-I'll get my own."

"Baby, are you okay? You seem so sad."

"I'm fine.."

"No, tell me what's wrong."

"Today's been six years since Sam was diagnosed."

"Oh that's right, I'm so sorry I forgot!"

"No, it's fine! It just gets to me a lot more on days like this."
