A Second Chance

Our little Love Bug

"What? What's wrong?" Danny runs to Jessica.

"I'm bleeding."

"Oh my god. Boys, uh- Ca-Can you watch your brother, please?"

"Of course, you two go!" Sam says.

"What's going on?" James asks Caroline.

"Your mom's bleeding." She says with tears slowly running down her face.

"What? No!" He starts to panic.

Danny throws Jessica's coat over her back and walks her out to the car.

"I have to go with them!" James walks to the door.

"James, let them go alone." Michael tells him.

"Oh God, what did I do?"

"What are you talking about?" Zach asks.

"I.. I was just being stupid."

"He was afraid that all the attention would be taken away from the wedding because of the baby coming."

"You said that to mom? You are so selfish! What a jerk!" Sam says.

"I don't know why I said that! Oh my gosh, please please let the baby be okay. I'm sorry!"

"Where did mommy go? What's happening with the baby?" Grayson asks.

"Nothing, bud.. Momma's okay. So is the baby.. everything's gonna be okay." Sam gets down to Grayson's level.

Jessica and Danny's POV.

The roads were horrible that night, so it took even longer for them to get to the hospital.

"Danny, I'm so scared. What if I'm loosing the baby? I couldn't take it, Danny!"

"Baby, everything's gonna be okay. Our little love bug is going to be fine."

"But Danny-"

"No buts. This baby is fine, Jessica." Danny looks her in the eyes and places his hand on her stomach.

When they get there they immediately take her to the back.

"Tell me if this hurts." The doctor says feeling around her stomach.

"Ow! That did!" Jessica flinches.

"Can you check on the baby? I just need to know if it's alright."

"Of course."
The doctor puts the heart monitor on her stomach and they hear the baby's strong heartbeat.

"Oh thank God!" Jessica takes a sigh of relief.

Danny lets out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding in and kisses the back of Jessica's hand.

"I'm going to perform an ultrasound. Have you had a history of ovarian cysts?"

"Yes, I have one now."

The doctor looks on the ultrasound and Jessica and Danny smile at their baby unfazed by Jessica's discomfort.

"Well the baby seems to be fine." The doctor chuckles.

"Yeah." Jessica smiles lovingly to the screen.

"Oh my gosh, it's so cute!" Danny says in a cute voice.

Jessica giggles at his cuteness.

"So what's wrong? Why is she cramping and bleeding?"

The doctor moves the scanner to the bottom right corner of her stomach.
