Stealing my thunder

New Year's Eve.

With just four days away till her baby boy says I do, Jessica was a little on the emotional side.  The fact that they had to take out her dress last minute didn't help either.

"James, you treat that girl right, okay?  Your father and I raised the best boys ever and I want you to make him proud... I can't believe you're getting married." Jessica looks into his eyes and places her palm on his cheek.

"I can't believe you're having another baby!" He chuckles and poke her stomach.

She laughs and looks down.
"But seriously, James.  Make wise decisions.. and never ever stop chasing your dreams." Jessica smiles softly.

"I love you, baby."

"I love you too, mom."

That night it was just the three of them at home.
Jessica didn't mind it.  She'd rather stay in anyway.

"Who's gonna help daddy make some homemade pizza?"

"Grayson is!" Grayson jumps with excitement.

"Yay!"

"I can cook too, daddy!"

"Very impressive!  Let's get started!"

Jessica walked into the kitchen and saw Grayson standing on his little stool helping Danny roll out the pizza dough.

"Look at my boys!"

"I'm helping daddy make pizza, mommy!"

"I see that!  You seem to be doing very well, Gray!"

"I am!  I'm SO good!"

Jessica laughs and touches her stomach.

"Hey Grayson, your sister's moving!  You wanna see if you can feel?"

"Yeah!" Grayson jumps down and falls on the ground.

"Oh careful, honey!"

"Let me feel!  Let me feel!" He runs to her.

Jessica chuckles and gets to his level.

"I don't feel nothin!"

"Well cause she's not over there, silly!"

"Where she is?!"

"Right here!" Jessica laughs and places his hand on the other side of her stomach.

"She's still little, so it's not that strong yet, but you might be able to feel a little kick."

Grayson smiles in complete silence.

"I felt it, mommy!  I felt my baby sister!"

"That's so awesome, baby!  It feels kinda funny, huh?"

"Yeah, how her move in there like that?"

"She's just a wiggle worm!  She just likes kicking mama, I guess." Jessica giggles.

"Right now she has lots of room so she's just in there wiggling around, and when she gets bigger.. Well she'll still move round like she has a whole bunch of space, but she won't! *Laughs* Then you'll be able to not only feel her a lot more, you'll be able to see her move too!"

"Woah!  I can't wait to play with her!" He smiles.

"You're gonna have a lot of fun together, huh?"
