A Second Chance

Don't ever grow up

The next morning before leaving the hotel Danny went over and held Jessica's waist. He looked into her eyes and said, "I know this is hard, but we're on vacation with our boys and we need to enjoy this time. Anything baby related we'll discuss when we get home, okay?"

"I just don't understand. I never in my life had this much trouble getting pregnant. Ever! I never even had to try before! The only one we did try with was Grayson, and that happened on the first go! I don't understand how my body is just suddenly not ovulating. I mean, I understand that I'm older, I'm not twenty years old anymore, but I'm not old! I'm in my thirties, it's not like I'm trying to get pregnant in my forties or fifties!"

"I know, babe, and I'm sorry. I really do feel terrible. Sometimes life throws you in an unexpected curve ball, but we can fight! We are strong and I know we can get through this. Whatever decision you make I will one hundred percent support it. I love you and we're in this together."

"Thank you. I love you too." Jessica hugs him and lays on his chest.

"Mom, what the hell was going on last night? Why were you and Danny in the hallway at four in the morning, and where is Grayson?"

*Sighs* "It's a long story.. Why were you just getting in?!"

"Heh! We just- we um.. Mom, I'm twenty one years old!"

"I don't care! I can still beat your ass! What were you doing?"

"Mrs. Huston, we crashed a party by the ocean. We had a few drinks, but don't worry, we didn't get into any trouble."

"Thank you, Caroline. See, James, that's all I wanted!"

A few days later the whole family was laying out in the sun.  Grayson was building a sandcastle with Danny, and It warmed Jessica's heart to see.

"Mommy, look what me and daddy made!"

"Oh Grayson, that's so cool!  Good job, buddy!" Jessica says taking a picture of them.

"Now I am the monster and I gonna smash it!" Grayson says in a loud and for him, a pretty deep voice.

"Oh my goodness!" Jessica laughs as Grayson stands up and acts like a monster.

"ROOOOAAAAAR!!" He shouts and smashes their sandcastle.

"Oh my, you are so scary, Mr. Monster!"

"No mommy, it's just me!" He smiles and goes back to his normal voice.

"Oh thank God!" Jessica plays along and grabs her chest in relief.

She giggles and continues watching them play.

The next night Jessica and Danny had the boys watch Grayson so they could go out.

Jessica wore a long flowy summer dress with her hair down but clipped out of her face. She wore very minimal makeup and some cute sandals.

She and Danny walked hand in hand on the beach. Danny held Jessica's shoes in one hand and Jessica held her dress up so it didn't get full of water and sand.

The sun was setting and the sight was beautiful.
Danny grabbed a flower and put it in Jessica's hair.
He softly grazed his fingers on her jaw line and looked lovingly into her eyes.
