61 / You're In Deep

I see halos in her eyes,
The broken pieces of golden
Suggest she's hellbent,
Yet I know she's seen heights-
She fucking walks on clouds,
Smokes like the devil-
My morality is skewed.

Oh but my hands are bloody,
These veins, full of diluted red,
Are collapsed, spilled over
And I'm all liquid now,
Echoing bottles on bottles
Sinking.

Everything she does is right-
I'm sure of it.
The way she breathes two realities,
And changes my mind,
On what I'd never touch,
She's made of pure magic.

One taste and they're hooked,
Looks like I have no control
Over this aura.
I'm worse the more you stick around,
No wonder my worst addict fights back,
From a room away.

She's depth and I grant her grace-
I know she means to acquire it.
I may not know what I'm getting myself into,
But I think that's the fun of it-
This is nothing like anything I've ever known.

I took a sip of you and I, too,
Could change myself,
To leave the habits I had,
But I only could go so far
Before I had you wrapped around my finger anyways,
Can't you see this will only hurt you?

I search the sky for airplanes, I search the sky for stars. You, leak through every one of them, tracing through everything unknown.

What a tangled web we have,
Yet it hasn't been clearer yet.
You're mine-
No doubt.
But I'm a crowd pleaser,
The masses are hungry-
They all need me.
Money, distance, time, loyalty-
They're all throwing it away,
Because they learn from me.
I killed you once,
But you loved me twice.
