Chapter 48

His fingers tangle with my hair strands as my head lays on his chest. His heartbeat echoes in my ears. We've been laying like this for the whole morning now.

"They took my car",I say.

"I came here with mine",he stops playing with my hair and looks down at me.

"Oh..I forgot",I shake my head.

"I'll go and have a shower",I sneak out of his arms and sit in front of him.

He just looks at me.

"What? Not going to join me?",I make a puppy face.

"I'm just admiring my morning view.I never knew someone could be this beautiful in the morning",he smiles.

I chuckle and look down at my hands. I'm not used to getting compliments.

"I can say the same",I say quietly,still not raising my look.

"But you still don't think I'm sexy?",he nudges me.

"Stop it.No. I still don't think that",I stick my tongue out and stand up.

"I'm asking one last time if you're going to join me?",I ask as I walk to the bathroom.

"Not this time,tulip",he says.

I make a disappointed face and close the doors.

"Why is this?",I ask whilst showing on the food packed in a tupperware.

"Obviously we are not eating here",he says and throws me my coat across the room.

"All our stuff is in the car already except few of those your things. Come on,I am taking you somewhere. This will be a special breakfast",he says with a smile on.

I stare at him in total confusion for a few moments.

"Where are we going?",is everything I say.

"No questions,tulip. Just follow me",he says and takes my hand.

"Quickly grab your stuff and I am waiting for you downstairs",he says and kisses me lightly on the cheek.

"No way!",I let out a shriek as an elevator reaches the top floor of the Toronto's highest building.

"How do you know about this in the first place?",I ask.

"I know a lot of things,remember?",he says.

I just shrug and push the heavy doors before me.They don't open.

"You need a key silly",Shawn chuckles and inserts the key.

"Duh",I roll my eyes.

"How did you get it?",I ask.

"A little effort for my tulip is nothing",he smiles.

He opens the doors and cold wind firstly hits me.I take a step out on the rooftop. It is covered in a thick layer of snow. Slowly I walk through it and come closer to the edge. As my body presses against the wall barrier of the edge my breath stops. You can see whole Toronto from up here. Whole Toronto covered by a white blanket of snow. Tiny snowflakes falling everywhere carried by the wind. All the sounds which make city lively are muted up here and people are just small dots almost invisible. Shawn's hands close around my body and he hugs me from behind whilst resting his head on my shoulder.

"I knew you would love it",he says into my ear.

"Who wouldn't? It is stunning up here",I smile and rest my head against his.
