Chapter 8

I followed him as he was moving his body through woods.Suddenly he stopped,so I did also.I was stunned.Small,unrealistically blue lake was in front of us.Old,damaged bridge was connecting two sides of the lake.Tall,green trees were surrounding us and the lake.It was so beautiful.
''This is it.Here I come when I want to be alone.It's like my little safe spot'',he said.
''Wow,this is..I don't know...beautiful is nothing for this'',I barely said.
Shawn started walking towards the bridge and then he sat on the edge,his long legs dangling.He just looked at me and patted the spot next to him.I didn't even hesitate,just walked and sit next to him.We were silent.Sunbeams were caressing my skin,birds were singing and everything was just fine with my head on his shoulder and us being silent,not fighting,not teasing each other.Was I the first person he brought here? What does that mean? Oh,cmon,I wasn't.He was just selling me that story,probably like he did to every girl he brought here.I repudiated my thoughts,I didn't want to worry myself with that.Just enjoy the goddamn moment,Arya.
I felt my head falling down,he was standing up.I looked at him.He stood up and started taking his clothes off.

''What are you doing?'',I asked confused.
''What does it look like?'',he asked back as he was left just in his boxers.
''I-I-I...'',I couldn't speak as I was amazed with his body.
''I'm not going to rape you,fool.'',he said jokingly.
I didn't speak.My eyes were examining every inch of his skin.They were wandering fromhis toes to his hair.I could stay like that forever,me examining him and he just staring at me.
''It's your turn now'',he cut off the silence I made.
I didn't want to take my clothes off.I wasn't ashamed of my body,but I just didn't want him to see my body.Like he would damage it.I wasn't insecure about myself,I was insecure about him.
''No way,Mendes.I'm not taking my clothes off'',I replied.
''Too bad,then you'll be soaking wet'',he said and looked at me.
I didn't take my eyes off him,he just smirked and jumped in the water.I felt the cold splash of water on my skin.I screamed and smiled.
''Idiot,water is freezing'',I rolled my eyes,still smiling at him.
''It's not.It's really nice over here and it would be even better if you joined me'',he said as he was coming closer to the edge of bridge where I was sitting.He rested his wet arms on the bridge just next to me.His wet hair was on his face and he just went with his hand through it,to fix it.It drove me mad.
''So you are not coming in?'',he asked me.

''No,I'm not'',I replied.

''I'm not taking no as an answer'',he told me as he pulled my leg.
My scream and laughter filled the air.I didn't fell inside,I pulled my leg back and stood up.

''Don't you dare,Mendes.Don't!'',I yelled.
He used his strenght and pulled himself out of water on the bridge.I started running away,he was following me.I couldn't stop laughing all the time and he was just curling his lip a little.WHY DON'T YOU SMILE?

I froze when I felt his cold,wet,strong hands on my shoulders.I wasn't faster than him,damn.

''I got you miss Christensen'',he whispered as he turned me around so I faced him.

''Now you are mine'',he yelled as he wrapped his arms around my body and pressed me against his wet body.
I guess I am yours,I thought.I screamed and he pulled us together in the cold water.I felt my body hitting the water and then we were sinking together.He let go of me,took my hand and pulled me out on the surface with him.I gasped for air and immediately laughed.He shook his head and fixed his hair.I was swimming in my clothes next to him and he was just staring at me.

''You are such a moron,Mendes.Ugh I hate you'',I said.

He was silent and then I saw it.I saw a smile on his face,growing bigger and bigger.Jesus Christ,I wanted to drown there immediately.His smile was heavenly beautiful.He got closer to me and,under the surface,he put his hand around my waist,pulling me closer.My heart was in my throat.

''This was fun,Newbie,what do you say?'',he was saying as smile was spreading across his face again.

''I must admit it has been fun'',I admitted as I felt my cheeks getting hotter.

I felt his other hand on the other side of my waist.He lifted me up and put me on him,just so my legs were around his waist.I was looking directly in his eyes and so was he.

''Why don't we make it more fun then?'',he asked.
But my whole world stopped the moment I was around him and his eyes were staring through me.All I can hear was my hearbeat and his voice.It was like only us existed in that moment.I was shaking,I felt heat tearing my body apart,I barely answered him.
''I think we are fine just like this,Mendes'',my voice was shaky.
He moved his face closer to mine.My cheast was against his and he could feel my fast breaths.I focused on his breath and I moved my hand in his hair.This was tearing me apart.I wanted him,but I couldn't have him.He is not the right choice for me.
''Just kiss me already'',he muttered.
I swallowed heavily.I was barely blinking and then it hit my mind.THE GAME.
''Why don't you kiss me yourself?So you don't lose the bet,huh?'',I asked him as I was pulling myself from him.He stayed silent.

''GODDAMNIT SHAWN!'',I yelled as I hit the water with my hands.This was the first time I called him by his name.I was mad.I don't know why the hell I cared,but I did.All he cared about was how to win the stupid game. I got out of the water,my clothes was dripping wet,I fixed my hair,took my phone which I fortunately left on the bridge and started walking away in the woods.

''Stop,Arya,STOP!'',I heard Shawn shouting as he was getting out of the water.But I didn't,I couldn't.I was feeling hurt and I was feeling furious at myself.

''Arya,stop acting so childlish'',he was suddenly in front of me.He put his hands on my shoulders in order to stop me.

''Get away from me.Okay,I know it's all games,Shawn.I get it now.I get it,this was all for the win and the game....'',I was yelling.
Chill out,Arya,chill out.You don't even care,so why are you acting this way? Calm down,show him that you don't care.Right now,with this behaviour,you are showing quite the opposite,stupido.I calmed myself down in a second.I don't care.I just don't care.I don't care about him.
''Okay,forget about this.Just let's go home.You almost won and this is not going to happen again'',I said as I was putting his hands down from my shoulders.
''Go get your stuff,I'll wait for you next to car'',I said and smiled at him.He looked at me and left.
As soon as he was gone I facepalmed myself.I'm I stupid or what?Where the hell is my guard?My walls and that shit? How and why the fuck I let him inside? Inhale,exhale,inhale,exhale,inhale,exhale.I calmed myself down.All I need to do is to get him outside my head before he spreads like a disease onto my heart.I needed to save myself from this chaos called Shawn Mendes.
I saw him coming closer,so I started to take my wet clothes off.It's my time to play with him.Eye for an eye.
