On the other side of the portal, the area was mostly dark. You were outside of a huge building, the land obviously shrouded in night. It was almost freezing here as you shivered, hearing the portal close up behind you. The gun was thrown into a pocket as you slowly marched forward, finding a few Gromflomites similar to those from your earlier trips. These were nothing like what Morty had used to guard himself before. These looked brainwashed, mind controlled.

They didn't move, not once, as you slowly inched towards them. You had walked into the large building and all they did was nod at you, as though you were supposed to be here.

Upon walking in, you were met with a cacophony of sound, mostly arguing as the sound of tinkering could be heard. All around, Gromflomites were speaking in monosyllabic verses, monotonous, robotic tones instead of emotional and real. They were building objects that you couldn't quite see.

"I don't care what you want, I care about what I need. And right now, I need a flux fucking capacitor!" You heard Evil Morty screaming as you hid behind a wall. When you glanced around, you saw him screaming at a Gromflomite. The creature shuddered in terror, "We tried. He won't budge." Morty growled and pulled out a gun, killing the poor creature without flinching. He had definitely grown in those two years, obviously having gotten taller, lankier, as he sat on the throne and put his head in his hands. He was like a young boy playing king: small, bratty, and evil.

"You," he pointed at another creature, "if you don't go and get me a goddamn flux capacitor from that bullshitter, I'll kill you, too!" He screamed, shaking his fist angrily at the creature as it screeched and scampered off.

"Rick!" Morty bellowed. In a heartbeat, Evil Rick was at his side, his scar making his identity obvious. "What the fuck is taking so long? He should have given it to us by now."

"I don't know. He does know what will happen if he continues to refuse. I've given him sufficient warnings." You watched as Morty smacked him in the side of the head, "A warning isn't good enough. You need to turn it into an actual threat, imbecile." Morty hopped off the make-shift throne, standing next to Rick. He was now, as far as you could tell, only three inches shorter, meaning he was almost at your height. His jaw was set as he wandered over in your direction, making you shrink back against the wall as he passed.

You watched as he wandered through what looked similar to a maze of hallways, following him quietly. He stopped in front of one door specifically. "Open it," he commanded. You watched as Evil Rick easily opened the door, pressing it inward for the little bitch.

"What?" You heard. Your heart stopped at the sound of his voice.

"We're here to make a small, itty bitty request. You know, about the flux capacitor? Yea," Morty tapped his foot before screaming, "Hurry it up! You already know what happens to your little sparkle-foot if you don't."

Your heart was beating rapidly. Rick was here, he was right there. But you couldn't get him yet. And they were talking about you, that much you knew. They were going to continue using you against Rick. You heard a dark chuckle, "You couldn't beat him, no matter how hard you tried." You smiled, your heart swelling with pride.

"I could, if I used my darling Rick here." Morty laughed, "(Y/N)'s still in love with him, don't you know? What, did you think he was hanging around you for the fun of it? Come on, how often do I have to remind you?" Morty chuckled darkly, throwing his head back and turning to a full on laugh. He quickly regained his composure, "No, that's not how it works. He's still in love with my dear companion here, and I aim to use that."
