I extended my arms above my petite frame whilst the rays of sunlight came beaming through my window. I have to admit, although I do love laying in till midday, I do enjoy waking up early surrounded by the peace and quiet. With everything that has happened, sometimes I feel like escaping from everything and everyone and the morning's are the perfect time to do that.
I climbed up to the roof making sure not to wake my dad up on the way. The roof is my favourite part of this new house. Watching the sunlight illuminate the sky with its radiating glow was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It's like she's still here. Like she never left. Every Sunday morning, she would wake me up to watch it with her. Since that day, I watch the world wake and watch it sleep. Maybe she's watching me. Who knows? Getting lost in my own thoughts I realised the time and headed back down to my room to get ready.
After brushing my teeth and washing my face I threw my hair into a quick messy bun and threw on a white jumper, some black ripped skinny jeans, and my Jordan's.
"Mia you've got two minutes to get your lazy arse downstairs if you want any breakfast!"
That ladies and gents was my oh so lovely brother Luke. He's 21 but I swear he's got the mind set of a 5 year old. Maybe he was dropped on the head as a child, it would explain a lot.
He pisses me off so much, but we have this weird unbreakable bond. We would argue and fight but when it comes down to it, I know he will always be there for me, but, he's still a pain in the arse.
I won't lie I'm a little bit nervous about starting a new college but I need to get my A-Levels somehow. Honestly though, I thought A-Levels would be easier then GCSE's but the amount of work you have to do is unbelievable. Exam after Exam. It sucks. If you take A-Levels I'm sure you understand what I mean.
Making my way downstairs I walked into the kitchen where I saw my dad and Luke eating the waffles my dad had made. These are literally the best things ever.
"So Mia, you excited to be starting your new college" asked my dad.
"Kind of. I just don't know if it will be good. Everybody will already know each other"
"Don't worry. You'll be fine, I know you'll make lots of friends" my dad said reassuringly.
"Yeah if not you can just be the loner that nobody ever talks to and sit in the corner eating your lunch alone" laughed Luke causing me to send him a glare.
"Be quiet Luke" dad said.
"I'm just joking" he replied. "Now come on take the waffles to go otherwise you'll be late"
"Okay. Bye dad" I said
"Bye sweetheart"
After a short drive we pulled up outside the college and can I just say woah baby! This college is freaking huge. My last college only had one building. This one has 5. Hundreds of students swarmed the campus coming in and out showing what looks like ID cards to the two hulk looking security guards in front. This is the first college I have seen that has security guards.
Okay. Not gonna lie I wasn't expecting this. Little butterflies started creeping their way into my belly whilst my palms started to get a tad bit sweaty. Maybe moving here wasn't the best idea.
"Hey, don't worry it'll be fine it's time to move on, you can't live in the past forever. This is your chance to start fresh. Make some new friends and just enjoy it. Just you know don't go falling for any guys because I'll have no choice but to unleash overprotective brother mode and kick their arses" Luke said.
"Yeah remember last time" I laughed. "Poor Connor just winked at me and you went crazy, what did you actually say to him because I swear he never glanced in my direction since then. Plus he was kinda cute."
"Cute my ass. He was a fucking moron" he laughed before shoving me out of the car. How lovely. "Now go before you get late." He said before driving off.
Trying to find the reception in here is like Thomas trying to get out of the maze. Oh great. Now I can't stop thinking about Dylan O'Brien. Oh how I love him and teen wolf. Anyway back to trying to find the reception.
Once I found it, I received my timetable filled with my lessons on; Psychology, English literature, history and law. I've always had a passion for writing, it's the only way I can express what I'm feeling, I guess that comes from my love of books. I love reading, it's like escaping to a completely different world.
All the lessons I've taken are the ones that I'm thinking about studying at university when I go. I love them all so it's going to be a difficult choice.
Looking at my timetable I realised that I have no clue where I'm going. Brilliant. I'm gonna be late on my first day.
"You okay there, you look a little loss"
said a girl. She was really pretty, she had shimmery blonde curly hair with sapphire coloured eyes. "Oh I'm sorry I'm Vanessa but you can call me Nessa, anything I can help with?" She said."Thanks. I'm Mia by the way. Do you happen to know where room 1.03 is?"
"Yeah I do, I'll drop you off there. It's on the way to my physics class anyway, looks like you have psychology just before lunch which is near my maths class so I could meet you for lunch if you like and show you around?" She asked.
"That'd be great, thanks"
And off we went. Time to see what the rest of my college day will bring.
