"Oh my fucking God Hayden how could you keep this from me?" I stepped into Hayden's house excited waiting to hear his story. After college I came straight over to Hayden's after he called telling me he wanted to speak.
"Fuck sake Mia, be quiet!" Hayden dragged me into the kitchen closing the door. I sit on the stool by the island placing my chin on my hand waiting for him to speak. "No one knows Mia, you have to promise to keep this a secret."
"No one. Not even your family." I asked
"Especially my family! My dad will go crazy!" He hissed as he paced around the kitchen. This boy sure is worried.
"Okay! Okay! Calm down. So how long have you kept it a secret." I questioned.
Hayden sat opposite me and swayed on his chair fidgeting. "Well it was in July I got drunk because I got in an argument and Josh was comforting me and out of nowhere I kissed him. Since then I was confused but Josh wouldn't let it go and so we spent a lot of time together during the summer which was when I started to fall for him."
"Wow, now that is a cute love story."
"Shut up Mia." He rolled he eyes.
"Question. How long are going to keep it a secret? I mean how does Josh feel about all this?"
"That's the problem at first he was okay with it but now he's been trying to get me to tell someone, he suggested Nate until he met you."
"And now I know so does that help."
"No." He said bluntly. "I mean how do I know you won't tell anyone and anyone I mean my brother."
"What! Of course I won't tell anyone and why the heck would I tell Nate if anyone I would tell Nessa."
"Just please promise you won't tell anyone. I'm still trying to accept what's happening myself so please." He pleaded.
Aw man. I really feel bad for him. He's so scared to tell anyone.
"Hayden I promise I won't say anything but if you need to talk about it I'm here okay."
"Thank you so much." He said getting up from his seat. "Right come on Noah invited us over to his house."
"Oh I can't, I'm gonna meet up with Steph." I said getting up from my seat and following him out the front door.
"Oh well have fun. See you tomorrow."
"Bye."

Once I left Hayden's house I met up with Steph at the Bela's diner. As I wasn't really hungry I just ordered milkshake.
"So, how is everyone back at Dorton?"
"Good." She said before taking a bite out of her burger. To be honest I wasn't looking forward for this, I knew it was going to be awkward especially when I didn't properly say goodbye to her. I looked around not knowing what else to say. "Wow this burger is delicious."
"Right. Wait till you drink the milkshake it's amazing." I smiled. Steph put her burger down and took a sip of her milkshake. After taking a sip she nodded her head in agreement.
"You know Mia since I'm going to be living here I really do want us to friends again. Yeah we drifted away before you left but that doesn't mean I forgot about you."
I want us to be friends too but with all the history we have I seriously don't think it's a good idea. I moved here to get away from everything including her and I have. I've made friends and new memories, how do I know she isn't going to ruin it.
"You know Steph I am happy to see you but I moved here to forget about the things that happened in Dorton-"
"Me too!" She butted in. "I mean my dad did get promoted but everything was getting to me and I couldn't focus on college or anything so my parents suggested we move."
"Oh." I felt bad. I was thinking about myself too much I didn't realise Steph was probably going through the same thing. "I'm sorry Steph, I should have called."
"No don't worry like I said we drifted apart but now I'm here that's got to mean something right." She smiled.
"Right." I smiled back.
After that Steph went to tell me more about Dorton and how everything has changed. Then I told her about how good Rosemoor is and how welcoming it is. I told her about the cabin trip and the prank on Nate. We then left the diner and I walked with her to her house that wasn't far from mine. She offered me to come in but it was getting late so I said goodbye to her and headed home.

"You."
"Me."
"Yes you. I'm only here for two more days so I thought we could have some girl time since your brother had work." Kiana said whilst holding a bag of popcorn and a means girl DVD. "You better make room for me in your busy schedule tomorrow, I'm not watching another Star Wars movie."
"Aw I'm sorry Kiana." I walked past her to heat the plate of pasta my dad left me in the microwave.
"It's all good I get it, new friends."
"Actually it was an old friend." I sighed.
"Oh you want to talk about it-"
"Kiana come back you're missing the best part." Luke shouted from the living room.
"No it's good." I grabbed my plate and sat down at the dining table I then pulled my phone out my pocket to check what's going on around the world.
"Okay but remember tomorrow, mean girls." She said before going back into the living room to join Luke.
As I was going through my phone I couldn't help but look through my old pictures. My pictures with my mum, my sister and my old friends. All the memories just flooded back. I couldn't help but just sit there and let the tears fall down my face.
