I woke up to the blinding sun shining through the edge of the curtain. I was about to reach over and grab my phone to check the time when I realised that Nate's arm was wrapped protectively around my waist. We must have fell asleep last night on the couch which would explain why my back aches. Looking down at him I realised how peaceful he looks sleeping. His curly black hair was all messy making him look even more hotter than he usually does. We didn't talk much about what happened last night but I am hoping to talk to him about it today.
Slowly moving Nate's arm from me, I got up and stretched. Looking around the room I realised how amazing Nate's apartment is. It's so modern and fits Nate perfectly. The view from the glass windows were amazing, you could see the whole city. No wonder Nate prefers to stay here, it's beautiful.
The place is huge, and filled with so much stuff that screams Nate. Like the movies in the glass cabinet under the flat screen tv. There's Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Shining and lots more of the best book to movie adaptations. He then has a loudspeaker and a retro record player against the wall that is covered in vinyls. Scanning the wall of vinyls, I ended up near the stairs to his bedroom and beside the stairs was the kitchen. Feeling the pain in my back, I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.
Making my way upstairs to the bathroom to freshen up and to see if he has any painkillers, I tripped making the glass in my hand smash onto the floor causing a loud bang which woke Nate up.
"What the fuck!" He said before jumping off the sofa and running up to me. "Shit, Mia. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, sorry I woke you up. Can you pass me a pan and brush to clean the mess up."
He then walks away into the kitchen. Two minutes later he comes back with the pan and brush but also a glass of water. "Here take this and go get yourself cleaned up. The painkillers are in the sink cabinet and just grab a pair of sweatpants and a sweater from my wardrobe." He hands over the glass and shooed me away.
Done with having a shower and getting into comfortable clothes, I made my way to the kitchen and sat myself on one of the stools at the island.
"Shall I cook breakfast?" I asked causing Nate, who was sitting on the sofa shirtless, to look at me funny.
"You? Cook?" He laughed.
"Hey don't be mean! I can make er, cereal."
"Cereal, wow." He chuckled causing me to send him a glare. "You are so cute munchkin. How about you stay there and keep me company whilst I make us some pancakes?"
A little while later we were sat down enjoying the delicious pancakes Nate had made. This boy can seriously cook.
"So about last night." I said.
"Yeah?"
"Do you not think that maybe it might be a good idea to try and work things out with your dad?" I questioned.
"Not really no. He doesn't want to listen and quite frankly I don't care."
"Yeah but he is your dad after all. Family's important." I stated.
"True. I don't really want to talk about it now." He said, his voice staying calm.
"Okay." I replied. It's upsetting to see Nate's relationship with his dad, parents are important, trust me I know.
"So did you tell your dad you were with me?" He asked.
"Yup."
"And he didn't mind?"
