Chapter 19

Today's Nessa Birthday and I'm just about to leave to go and help her set up for the party later.

"Okay dad I'm going. I'm not sure what time I'll be back yet. I might end up sleeping over but I'll call you and let you know." I said.

"Okay darling. Make sure you call." he replied. "Have fun!"

A little while later I arrived at Nessa's house.

"HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY!!" I screamed at her before tackling her for a big hug.

"Thank you!" She smiled. "Now can you please get off me, I can't breath."

"Just what I wanted." I smiled letting her go.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny."

"I laughed." Nessa's sister said walking down the stairs.

"So what do you want me to do?" I asked.

"Erm well Noah and Hayden are setting up the decorations in the front room. So could you help me set up some of the snacks in the kitchen and you, sister wouldn't mind doing a quick run to the grocery store to pick up a few bits and bobs." She asked politely.

"No problem birthday girl." Her sister replied acting all excited before heading out to leave.

"I seriously can't believe my mum is making her watch over me."

"Don't worry, now come on then let's get busy." I dragged her towards the kitchen.

A little while later everything was almost set up. The boys are taking care of the music and alcohol right now whilst Nessa and I are getting ready in her room. Nessa wore this gorgeous Burgundy wrap front crepe dress and I wore a navy lace bodycon dress.

"So I was going to give this to you later but I thought I'd just give it now before it all gets hectic." I said grabbing her gift from my bag and handing it to her.

Nessa took the bag from me and looked inside. She then grabbed hold of the box and opened it. "Aw Mia! I love it. It's so pretty. But it's too much." She said handing it back.

"Girl are you crazy." I pushed her arm towards her. "It's not too much, you deserve it. Nessa, you were the first person from Rosemoor I made friends with and you made me feel happy to stay here." I replied before giving her a hug.

"Thank you so much. I love the bracelet, it's beautiful. And Mia, thank you for being an amazing best friend, I love you." She said.

"I love you too." I replied wiping a tear from my face.

"So anyways has your boyfriend called?" I asked with a smile.

"Yeah he has. Bless him he's been sending me a bunch of sweet birthday messages. I'm just a little gutted he couldn't make it today." She said with a sad smile.

"Aw that's so cute." I said with a huge smile.

Soon later we heard knock. "Come in." Nessa shouted.

"Nessa there's a surprise waiting for you downstairs."

"Surprise?!"

"Come on let's go!" I grabbed her hand and pulled her downstairs. Slowly, I mean we did have heels on.

As we made way downstairs and into the front room it was safe to say she was definitely surprised.
