Lunch rolled around sooner than expected which meant I had to meet Hayden in the library to work on our project.

"Hey, you ready for lunch?" Nessa asked.

"Oh crap! I totally forgot to mention, I have to work on a psychology assignment with my partner in the library. You're welcome to join if you want though?" I offered.

"Sure, that's fine, I have to return some books anyway" Nessa responded as we made out way to the library.

When arriving at the library I couldn't spot Hayden anywhere. He must be running late I thought. Typical. As I waited I took a look around the library which was huge. They seemed to have a very large collection which was good for me as it meant more reading material. They also had a studying section which was good as well as a computer area. This college surely did have a lot.

"Who's your partner anyway?" asked Nessa.

"Oh his name is.."

"Boo!" Hayden screamed down my ear whilst grabbing me by my shoulders.

"Hayden! You are such a twat," I said.

"Shhhhhh!!!" the librarian exclaimed. Geez. She doesn't look to happy I thought.

"Chill out sweetheart, just messing around," he said whilst ruffling my hair like I was a 5 year old. I hate it when people do that.

"Yeah Yeah, whatever can we get started now?" I asked impatiently.

"Anything for you," he winked.

Rolling my eyes, I almost forgot Nessa was standing besides us with a star struck expression on her face. I wonder what that's for?

"Oh yeah. Hayden - Vanessa, Vanessa - Hayden," I said.

"Nice to meet you Vanessa," said Hayden.

"Er, you too," Nessa smiled "I'm going to go return these books and I'll let you guys get to work, I'll see you later Mia," Nessa said.

Once Nessa left I turned to face Hayden. Taking a minute to really take in his features I noticed that he was fairly tall, muscular and quite tanned with soft brown hair and golden hazel eyes.

"You done checking me out?" He asked

I blinked, "Er I wasn't checking you out."

"Sure," he said grinning.

"Anyway let's just start the research," I said whilst slightly blushing.

During the hour that we spent at the library, we didn't get much done however I actually learnt quite a lot about Hayden. Including psychology he studied biology, chemistry and Business and had an older brother. Like Nessa he too was curious to know why I moved but could tell not to push it any further when I started to clam up. I don't know why I still can't talk about it. I guess something's are best left unsaid. He also told me about his little sister and how she is obsessed with football and gets Hayden to play with her all the time which I thought was very cute. Looking back to Hayden, I noticed he was on his phone.

"My phone is broken," he said

"Why what's wrong with it," I asked.

"It doesn't have your number in it," he responded with a sly grin. Oh my. He couldn't get any worse right?

I couldn't contain my laughter. For the past 20 minutes he has been coming out with the worst pick up lines ever, but they always seemed to make me laugh. After much debating I decided to give Hayden my number, I was always going to because we needed to work on the project but it was funny to see his face when I turned him down.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked out nowhere.

I was quite confused as to why he wanted to know but nonetheless replied, "no, what about you, do you have a girlfriend".

As I asked him this he started to go red and clam up a little, "erm no, no I don't". Huh. Looks like a topic he doesn't want to talk about, messy break up I guess.

Realising the time I put my notebook inside my bag getting ready to leave. "Oh gosh. I have to leave, Law starts in 3 minutes."

"Okay, erm I'll text you when we should meet up again later." Hayden said.

"Okay. Bye." I responded as I walked out of the Library.

"Hayden. Freaking. Sanders!" Nessa exclaimed out of nowhere making me jump.

"What?" I questioned, giving her the death stare.

"You're partnered up with Hayden Sanders, the most well known boy in this college, the boy everyone wants to be friends with, which isn't hard actually cause he's also known to be very friendly but because he is so popular and hot may I add it's very hard to get him to notice you." Nessa said.

"Really Nessa, Hayden is just a student like us." I replied back not understanding why she freaked out about me being partnered with Hayden. He seems like a normal guy.

"It's not just college, he's well known in the city. He's a Sanders Mia. Sanders Hotel. His dad owns many hotels around the world."

"So?" I asked confused.

"Gosh Mia there's rumours going around that Hayden may be the new owner of the business, apparently in his fathers eyes he's the most reliable one out the brothers." She said.

"And what you're saying is I'm a gold digger? Wow thanks Nessa what a great friend you are. I need to go, I'm getting late for law." I say sarcastically as I speed walk to lesson.

I know Nessa didn't mean that but I really don't care about Hayden's dad owning hotels. So what if he comes from a wealthy family. Hayden and I are just psychology partners. We barley even know each other. In fact we are barley even friends. We've just met. I honestly don't know what's wrong with Nessa. Thinking about it everyone was looking at me weirdly when I was in the library with Hayden. This is all just very strange. I don't know why Nessa is so interested It's not like I'm going to fall in love with the guy anyway.
