"So sis." Luke said before placing his laptop on the island in front of me. "I found this on the internet. It's to help us plan the perfect proposal."
"Wow you're really doing this then." I said as I scanned the website.
"Of course. I've been in love with her since high school. Now let's crack on." He clapped his hands before sitting on the stool opposite me.
It was the next morning and Luke woke me up early to help him plan the perfect proposal.
"Okay so it says before you start planning anything have you talked about marriage or being together in the future?" I asked him.
"Well yeah twice I think and I also spotted her watching proposal video's and those baby gender reveals on Instagram"
"Okay and you've spoke to her parents." He nods a yes. "Well then the first thing we need to do is buy the perfect engagement ring."
After spending an hour looking at pictures for inspiration we finally left our house to go to the jewelry store. When we arrived at the store we went in and asked one of the workers to show us their best engagement rings that was in our price range. The worker then took us to a glass case full of gorgeous rings. He brought out eight rings to show us. Luke and I then spent ten minutes staring at the rings choosing three out of the eighth. We picked one that was a classy white gold ring. The ring had eighteen round diamonds along the shoulder in a pave setting. The centre stone, which was a massive diamond, was lifted with a four claw prong setting allowing the facets of the diamond to capture light and reflect back great shine and brilliance. That's what the worker said anyway.
The second ring we decided on was a simple white gold ring with a heart diamond in the centre and the third engagement ring had a four claw white gold setting. It also had a round shaped diamond set in the lavish vintage style ring which had a unique design and two channels of smaller diamonds were going down each side of the ring. As you can see from the rings Kiana has a thing for white gold and big diamonds.
Once we chose the three rings Luke decided it was best to reserve them so he could spend some time thinking of which one would be the perfect ring for Kiana. After speaking to the worker we went back into the car to make our way home.
On the journey home I got a call from Hayden. "Hey what's up?" I asked him.
"Hey nothing I just wanted to ask for a favour."
"Sure, what do you need?"
"Well you know since Nate is doing that trial thing at my family's company."
"Yeah?"
"Well today is the day my mum let's the workers at her bakery have a day off and Nate and I help her but since Nate isn't available I was wondering if you would like to come help out. I've asked Noah and Nessa and they have agreed."
"Erm well I'm actually helping my brother our with something-"
"No your not." My brother said beside me.
I looked to him and asked him what he was talking about.
"I'm exhausted from ring shopping so I'm calling it day." He replied.
Hearing that I could help out with the gang, I told Hayden I was on my way.

When Luke dropped me off at Camilla's bakery I headed inside to see Noah and Nessa looking cute being waiters while Hayden was behind the counter working at the cashier machine.
Walking towards Hayden I greeted Nessa with a little wave. "So where do you want me?" I asked Hayden with a smile.
"My mum is at the back you could help her frost the cupcakes."
"Okay boss." I saluted to him before making my way to the kitchen.
Once I was in the kitchen I gave Camilla a hug before placing an apron around my waist. I then got hold of the piping bag full of buttercream and started frosting the cupcakes that have cooled down. Five minutes in and I noticed Camilla watching me as she pulls out another batch of cupcakes from the oven.
"What?" I looked at her confused. I'm I doing it wrong?
"I'm just shocked. They really look amazing."
"Oh well thanks to Nate without him I wouldn't be here right now."
"Nate?"
"Yeah when I first came here to help he taught me the basic."
"Well since you're a fast learner why don't I teach you some more frosting techniques." She suggested with a smile.
When I agreed for her to teach me she sent me out with the cupcakes that were ready to sell while she stayed in here to make some more frosting. Coming back into the kitchen Camilla handed me a cupcake with a piping bag full of frosting.
"Okay so first watch me closely." She said as she started frosting the cupcake. "So your good at doing swirls well this is a rose." She moved the piping bag away from the cupcake to show me the rose pattern.
"Wow."
"Looks good right?" She smiled at me. "You try now."
I then lifted the piping bag above the cupcake and started creating the rose pattern. When I was done I looked down to see a messed up rose. Suddenly Camilla started laughing. I looked at her with an hurt expression.
Once she saw my expression she immediately stopped laughing. "Oh dear I'm sorry for laughing, I didn't mean to make you upset." Watching her feeling sorry for me I couldn't help but send her a cheeky smile.
"I'm just messing with you." I laughed. Camilla then raised an eyebrow at me before grabbing the spoon from the frosting bowl and scooped up a little bit off with her finger before placing it on the tip of my nose.
"Never ever mess with Camilla Sanders ever." She looked deep into my eyes. Seconds later we both burst out laughing and went back to her teaching me. After an hour the bakery was closed and Camilla was able to teach me four new techniques and once I was done frosting three cupcakes for the gang I headed out to seat myself at the table the others were at.
"Today was successful don't you think." Hayden said as he grabbed a cupcake from the plate.
"Yeah it was. Your mum is amazing."
"Meh this is why I actually agreed to help." Noah got hold of a cupcake and took a big bite out of it.
"Well I had fun. Maybe I should choose this to be my summer job." Nessa smiled.
"You're looking for a summer job?" Noah asked her with a mouth full.
"Yeah I figured I start making my own money instead of asking my parents for it."
"Why don't you? Since Nate isn't available we need the help and I'm sure my mum wouldn't mind you working here."
"Who working here?" Camilla came over to the table.
"Nessa. She's looking for a summer job."
"Oh darling I would love to have you working here."
"Okay well that's sorted you're hired." Hayden pointed to Nessa acting like he was Alan Sugar.
"What about you Mia? Would you like a summer job? It's good to start earning young."
"Er okay why not." I accepted her offer.
"Great. Now come on kids let's get you lot home."
Once I got home to bed all I kept thinking was how good today was. Watching Luke pick out a ring for Kiana was adorable. He seems so happy and excited for his future it's makes me happy and then to spend time with Camilla at the bakery I felt my heart become whole again. It was nice to have a female role model in my life again, to be able to talk about things I couldn't with my dad and brother. I wish my mum was still here so I could do that with her, so I can talk to her about it all.
