Chapter 29

Chapter 29

-Lester-

Even I don't want to be here because of Cryzel's condition, we did go anyway, for Sofie's mother's sake. She acts like a mother to me when I was a kid.

We saw the commotion but to my relief it didn't turns out to be a fight. If it turns into that, I will run Cryzel away from here.

"Kelvin." I heard her whisper and her grip into my hands becomes tighter.

"I will never let him or anybody hurt you." I whisper in her ear.

I drag her towards the table we suppose to sit. All my friends are in there already except for JM, of course. Katsumi is with Yannie, JC and Seth are alone.

"Seth nasaan girlfriend mo?"

"Wala akong girlfriend." His simple reply and JC mouthed the word busted.

I was about to speak the when someone spoke. "Lester?" And when I look who spoke, shiver all over my spine that comes through me.

"Ayi." I said and she looks at my hand. She saw where it was, it was around Cryzel's waist and she smile and left.

"Follow her. I know you missed her." Cryzel said and I did what she told me.

-Cryzel-

"Mahal niya ikaw pero mahal din niya si Ayi? Wow! Parang Sofie lang." biglang sabi ni Seth.

"Anong parang si Sofie lang?" Biglang sabi ni JM.

"Si Lester." Matipid kong sabi. Umupo naman sa tabi ko si Sofie at sa tabi niya si JM.

"Are you okay, Cryzel?" Biglang sabi ni Sofie sa akin. Tumingin naman ako sa kanya at tumango. "Don't lie. For Two weeks that you always visiting me kahit may konting takot ako sa'yo noon alam kong may problema ka. It is same expression that you have when I am with Kelvin. Is it Lester?" Tanong niya.

"N-no." Pautal kong sabi at lumingon siya kay JM at may sinabi. Nakita ko na lang na tumango naman si JM. Hinawakan ni Sofie ang kamay ko at hintak niya ko. "Come with me."

-Sofie-

Hindi ko alam pero gusto kong magkaroon siya ng happy ending. Masyado siyang sinaktan ni Kelvin at si Lester ang handing sumalo sa kanya. Hindi naman kasi alam ni Seth kung ano talaga ang ugnayan nila Lester at Ayi pero ako alam ko kasi pinsan ko si Ayi.

Dinala ko si Cryzel sa may labas nung venue. Nakita ko sa may gilid na naguusap si Ayi at si Lester. Hindi naman namin gustong marinig ang pinaguusapan nila pero malakas yung boses nila.

"I love you too." Iyon ang sinabi ni Lester habang inakap niya si Ayi. Bigla naman tumakbo itong si Cryzel palayo.

Confirmed that she likes Lester, I knew it. Lester and Ayi are lovers' before pero may natuklasan sila kaya bago tumagal ang relasyon nila tinigil na nila yung relasyon nila. Tumagal sila ang alam ko ng three days lang ata. Pero kahit naghiwalay sila hindi mapagkakailang mahal nila ang isa't isa pero bilang magkapatid na lang kasi Ayi is an illegitimate daughter of Lester's father kaya inisip nila baka yung nararamdaman nila ay bilang magkapatid lang at alam kong totoo yun. Kasi nga pinsan ko si Ayi. She is the daughter of my father's younger sister but unfortunately she died of child birth.

Nalaman ko rin na kaya pala malungkot si Cryzel noong bumibisita siya sa amin kasi nga ikakasal siya kay Lester at hindi niya makakatuluyan si Kelvin. Pero iba na ngayon, kitang-kita sa kinilos lang ngayon ni Cryzel na may gusto na ito kay Lester. Hindi ko sinabing mahal niya si Lester. Pero doon din naman nagsisimula iyon.

"Lester." Sabi ko.

"Oh, Sofie anong ginagawa mo dito? Baka kung mapano ka."

"Bago ako ang alalahanin mo, alalahanin mo si Cryzel. Na-misinterpret kayo doon siya pumunta." Nagulat si Lester pero sinundan niya kung saan ko tinuro kung saan pumunta si Cryzel at kami naman ni Ayi pumasok na sa loob.

-Lester-

I run as fast as I could after what Sofie told me. I follow the path that she might go, I am hoping that she is just somewhere near. I went to the nearest possible place that she must be but there is no Cryzel that I find.

Where is Cryzel? I want to explain to her what she saw. I want to tell her about Ayi. I don't want her to be mad at me. I don't want her to get hurt but what I did right now? I hurt her. I hurt my everything and my life.

*Flashback*

 

Every night she keeps on murmuring my name and she still unconscious or so I thought because one night I was about to sleep when I saw her eyes opened and look at the ceiling. When she saw my shadow in the room she looked at me at smile.

"Thank you Lester." She said.

"That's nothing. I'll protect you from him."

After that day we became closer and she keeps on smiling on me and not frowning. She told me she will try her best to work out our relationship. She will try to love me but I am not giving my hopes up.

Ano ang laban ko sa isang Kelvin Zack Smith na simula pa lang mahal na ng taong mahal mo? We know each other since we were kids, we used to be playmates and friend but when she moved to the Philippines I didn't get a chance to see her. I like her since then but it been in the back of my mind and try to forget her but when I saw her again at the airport with Kelvin, I don't know what happened to my heart and it pump like when I fell to Ayi but Ayi is my sister and that is why blood connects itself.

I promise myself to protect her and I will do it. I will not going to tell her that I love her so that she will not to feel awkward towards me.

*End of Flashback*

 

Puniyeta nasaan na ba si Cryzel? Napapatagalog na ko dahil hindi ko na talaga siya makita. Nilibot ko na ang mga lugar pero hindi ko siya makita. Napadpad na ko sa isang dalampasigan at kita ko si Cryzel na nakatayo at sigaw ng sigaw.

"Damn You! Why do I need to fall?! Why I need to be hurt when I fall? Una si Kelvin ngayon naman si Lester! Damn you!"

Sa pagkakarinig ko dali-dali akong tumakbo sa kanya at inakap siya ng patalikod. Nagulat naman siya sa aking ginawa.

"Stop shouting, I'm sorry I hurt you." I whispered in her ears. She gets off of my hug and look at me. "Ayi is my sister." I started to explain. "Whatever you heard what I say I am pertain to her because she is my sister. I'm sorry if I hurt you and sorry –" I let my sentence hanging.

"Sorry for?" she asked.

"Sorry because even you are not falling I am already ready to catch you. I love you Cryzel." I said and slowly I kiss her with full of love.
