Zane's POV
"Zane...baby.....I'm sorry.." Gene said as he tried to reach for my hand. I slapped him away and looked at him, tears pouring out of my eyes. "How could you do that to me....how could you kiss someone else!?" I screamed not caring who heard.
"Zane-" "NO!" I inhaled a shaky breath as I tried to stop the flowing of tears. "I LOVED YOU GENE! I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING I HAD, AND YOU-YOU GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO CHEAT ON ME WITH ANOTHER GIRL!" I screamed as I let out a choked sob.
"Actually...it was Zenix.." Gene pointed out, correcting me. "I DONT CARE! JUST-just...leave me alone....please.." I said as I closed my eyes to try and stop the tears at all. But alas, no avail, they just kept coming (😏).
"Okay....." Gene said before walking towards the door and opening it, looking at me before saying, "I'm sorry Zane..... I love you...". He walked out the house without looking back.
I fell to my knees and weeped my pretty little heart out. I felt broken... alone... forgotten. I remembered the one person who would talk to me when I was sad, treat me when I doubted myself.....told me they would be there for me.
I scramble up to get my phone. I unlock it to see my background. It was....a picture of me and Gene. I whimpered as I called the person.
The phone rang a couple of times before a male voice spoke, "Hello..?". I sniffled and shakily said, "C-can you come over..? I need you right now....im all alone...".
"Of course! I'll be over in 5 seconds!" The voice said. I softly laughed at his cute protectiveness (I dont know if that's a word).
Within 5 seconds, he was at my door, knocking frantically. I hesitantly opened the door with a tear stained face. "Oh my irene, Zane! ARE you okay..?!" He asked as he hugged me tightly.
"If crying my eyes out means okay.. then yes.." I said as I hugged him back. He picked me up, holding under my thighs to prevent me from falling as I held onto his neck.
He carried me to the living room and sat me down on the couch. He took a seat next to me softly rubbing my thigh as he asked what happened. "W-well..*whimper* you know how m-me and Gene were dating..?" I asked as I let out a chocked sob.
He nodded. "He went behind my back a-and....and.......*whimper*" I couldn't even speak because I was so sad. Travis quickly got the message before pulling me close to him in a warm embrace.
Even though I appreciated his care immensely, I could tell that he was trying to not let his inner demon out, literally. His breath was heavily increasing as his fingertips turned a shade of dark grey. "That piece of shit... UGH! I trusted him with you and he just does..THAT?!" He yelled as he let go of me.
He walked towards the door. I knew what he was going to do... I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. I wrapped my arms around his neck, giving him a hug. "Please! Don't go and find him! I don't want you or him to get hurt!" I said as I whimpered at the end. His look softened as he picked me up again.
I looked into his used to be emerald green eyes. They were purple with a few black spots. They were very beautiful, yes, but those were not the eyes I once knew. He pulled me closer and said, "I'm sorry...".
He gently rubbed my back as I rubbed his cheeks in my small hands. I leaned in and put my forehead on his as I closed my eyes, then stinging from how long and hard I've been crying.
A few more tears fell as he gently kissed my head before saying, "Its okay Zane...Im here.."
