Gemini's POV
Yesterday nights' event is still as clear as day. Virgo walked up to the giant chessboard with me. We looked up and saw a stage ahead. The audience cheered as we walked up and same goes to the other side. Virgo's face went paler and paper as we walked towards the stage. She's muttering to herself. Oh? I'm surprised that her whispers are so quiet. I eavesdropped a little and listened.

"....What shall I do?....... What?! No!......I guess it worth a try......" Virgo suddenly looked up at me. I jumped and she looked at me with realisation and looked down, blushing. Huh, weird. "COME ON VIRIMI!!!" Libra screamed while sitting in a chair. "Virimi?!" I asked. So we now have a ship name now... Great. Though I'm not complaining. "And the game starts... NOW!" Mr Flare announced. We walked up the stage to the white side and looked at the pieces. We got to move first. "e1-e4" Virgo called out.

The pawn obeyed and moved forward. "e7-e6" the boy beside Naja called out. "Capuchin that's a horrible move." Naja sighed, "shut up," the boy growled. Can you hear me? My eyes widened and Virgo looked at me. I nodded and she gave me a thumbs up. Well, at least we got a way to communicate without the other team hearing us...

-Time Skip-

"Um.... Bd2-c3" Virgo called out in uncertainly and panic. "Promote pawn from d5 to knight." Naja called out. I called out my move and I watched tears streaming down Virgo's cheek as the bishop got taken. "I.... I can't..." Virgo said quietly "g2-g3 ..." The pawn refused to move. Virgo suddenly burst into tears, stressed. Her eyes are all puffy and she looked at me as if pleading me to finish this match and get it over with. "I-I'm defeated. There's nothing I can do." Virgo said quietly through sobs. It breaks me to see her like that so I squeezed her hands reassuringly.

A way to win this game... I need to think of loopholes to this game if I remember the rules— My mind froze. I suddenly remembered. OH HOW STUPID WE'VE BEEN! "Virgo, we forgot the rules, this is not a chess game." I said calmly, trying to hide my excitement. "It's a game of cheats, a game where everyone is a winner. We've been playing chess the whole time!" Virgo took a deep breath to calm herself, collecting her thoughts. "....Okay, watch me Villa. Here goes nothing.." she muttered, "since this is a game of cheating, it's best to unravel into madness and toss logic out of the window I guess."

"PROMOTE PAWN FROM F5 TO AN ARCHER!!" Virgo shouted. I watched as the pawn turned into a bishop like piece with a bow and arrows designed at the back. "What?!" Capuchin asked on disbelief. They made their moves and I called out a move. "Af5 x Qe7!" I watched as the archer shot an arrow at the queen. The queen piece is destroyed. "PROMOTE ALL PAWNS TO WIZARDS!" Virgo shouted. The pawns all turned into a queen-like piece with stars around them. Naja and Capuchin hesitated and made a move.

"ALL WIZARDS KILL THE REMAINING 4 KNIGHTS! MARK EVERY AREA, DON'T LET THEM ESCAPE!!" Virgo called out. They made a move and I called out a move and took out a bishop. Naja called out a smart move and took out a wizard. "REBELLIS!" Virgo shouted with her wand thingy pointed at the chess pieces. I watched in amazement as the remaining 3 place pawns on the other side changed colour from black to white. "HEY!" Capuchin called out, "THATS CHEATING!" I can't take it any more. "WATCH YOUR F*CKEN MOUTH YOU *SSHOLE!" I shouted, "THIS IS THE GAME OF CHEATS, THE PAWNS HAVE RIGHTS TO REBEL!!! YOU GUYS MADE THESE RULES TO DEAL WITH IT!"

Everyone along with the audience gasped and I exhaled deeply to calm myself. "Is it true?" Virgo asked. I nodded, "I was patrolling at night to see if everything is in place and I was about to walk into this room when I hear pens scribbling. As an Air elemental, I heard some humane breathing so I peeped in and saw Naja and Capuchin changing the rules." I explained. "Why didn't you tell me about it?" Virgo asked. "It's too far-fetched to believe and shh, we're in middle of a game..." I said with a smile. I called out a move and Virgo smiled. She have a small smile on her face and looked at me. I nodded and together we said, "checkmate."
