Even with glasses on, I can feel Zach's stares. Kanina pa siya ganyan. Wala naman siyang sinasabi.
"What?"
"Nothing." He replied then smiled.
"Baliw." I murmured.
I continued fiddling with my phone while waiting for our flight to be called. Before leaving, Zach made sure that everything is still under control. Me, on the other hand, made a promise to Lola and my new found friends that I'll visit them when I have time. Davao is fun and I will surely miss this place.
By this time, I know Bea is already preparing for a get together dinner for me--for us. She's really excited to see me again. I miss them na talaga lalo na sina Mama at Papa. Yesterday nga when I called, Mama was crying because finally, I decided to go home na. Nung first six months ko kasi here in Davao, she always calls me saying na umuwi na. Nung sinabi kong hindi pa pwede, nag suggest siyang siya na lang ang pupunta dito but I refused to. Alam ko kung gaano sila ka-busy. I can handle myself naman. I know I was too vulnerable but I know how to deal with myself.
"Para kang tanga." I commented when I felt his stares again while smiling.
"Ano 'yung title nung kanta na kinanta mo sa despedida party?"
Hinawakan ko ang sunglasses ko at binaba ng konti para makita ko ng maigi ang mukha niya.
"Bakit mo natanong?" I asked.
"I just kinda liked it. And the lyrics."
"Uy." Tawag niya pero di ko siya pinansin.
"Anne.."
"Bakit ba?" Tanong ko ng hindi lumilingon.
"Yung title nga kasi?"
"Alam mo kung feel mong mang-asar, huwag ako. Okay?"
"Sungit naman." Bulong niya. "I just wanna know the title."
"You can search for it's title."
"Can I asked?"
"You're asking already."
I heard him sigh. By this time, I know he's already serious.
"Okay." I replied.
"'Yung lyrics ng kanta--"
"Bakit ba ayaw mong mag-move on dun sa kanta?" I asked as I looked at him.
"I just wanna know if you meant everything."
He looked at me and I stared at him.
"Why?" I asked after ten seconds of silence.
"I wanna know if you're already back to your own self. If you had already moved on."
"Why?"
"Anne.."
I asked again.
"I just need a yes or a no."
"Yes." I immediately replied and I saw how his facial expression changed into something. "Happy?" I sarcastically added.
"For you? Yes."
Then he smiled again at tumayo na dahil tinatawag na ang flight number namin.
