Everyone was scared of the Bear Jew. Even Aldo, from time to time, had drawn shaky and anxious breaths when Donny was angry or upset. But you just had to change that. You were the first person to show Donny that you looked past the Bear Jew and at the brave man from Boston, instead.
"Why aren't you afraid of me?" He asked, furrowing his brows. You simply smiled and took his hand in yours gently.
"Because I see you, Donny," you said, cupping his cheek with your other hand. "I see you and not the Bear Jew. And I love you."
