Although neither of you would ever admit it, the love/hate relationship you had with Logan was... Well, it was more love than hate. Thinly disguised love that masqueraded as hatred. "I love you" bent into "I hate you". There were bets going on in the mansion as to whether you and Logan would kill each other or get together first - Charles bet on love blossoming, Erik bet on the hatred, ten pounds each.
"I underestimated you," Logan chuckled, admiring your handiwork at how you had managed to make one of his cigars blow up when lit.
"Classic mistake. Better hope you don't make it twice," you winked at him, causing his little smirk to drop and his eyes to turn dark with lust.
"Whatever." He grumbled, mood instantly changing, causing you to furrow your brows at him.
"Are you okay, Logan?" You asked softly, putting your hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah sure, clearly everything is fan-fucking-tastic," he hissed, shrugging you off with a sigh and walking away; Logan really didn't want to do that, but he knew he had to, because he didn't want to hurt you by being around you too long and admitting his feelings for you. "Fuck..."
"(Y/N)," Charles smiled, offering you the seat in front of his desk. "What can I help my dear old friend with today?"
"Logan," you sighed, your eyes meeting the professor's. "Do you know why he's acting more... Asshole-ish?"
"I do," Charles nodded, biting the inside of his cheek. "It's because he doesn't want you to get hurt because of him. He's distancing himself."
"What an idiot," you grumbled to yourself, Charles laughed quietly and nodded. "Two can play at that game. Thank you, Charles. I owe you."
You were giving Logan the silent treatment, but that didn't mean the two of you became any less inseparable; he was cleaning his Harley while you were sat on it, twiddling with a dry cloth.
"(Y/N)," Logan grumbled, not daring to look up at you. "Get out of my sight before I do something I regret... Please."
"What's the thing you'd regret, furball?" You teased, smirking when he stood between your legs and put his hands on your hips to stop you from falling off of his bike.
"This," he growled, harshly pressing his lips to yours and completely losing himself, just as you did. "Fuck. (Y/N), I-"
"I love you." You said, the first time those words had ever been spoken between either of you.
"I... I love you two," he mumbled. "Sometimes, you're evil. It's hot."
"Well," you giggled quietly. "Sometimes, you're an asshole. It's not hot."
"I fuckin' hate you." He smirked, pulling you in for another kiss.
"I thought they hated each other." Erik said, watching from the window along with Charles, he handed his friend a ten pound note.
"I always knew they had something for one another," Charles chuckled. "From day one."
"You can read minds," Erik reminded, somewhat disappointed he had lost his bet. "So, of course you knew from day one."
