You sank to the floor, your back against the cupboard, your knees pulled against your chest, your forehead resting on them as your tears stained your jeans.

"Why are you crying?" Jesse asked, sitting beside you with furrowed brows, trying desperately not to get angry at whoever hurt you.

"Don't worry about it," you sniffled, inching away from him a little, which only made the preacher more concerned and more ready to make whoever made you cry pay for it.

"Tell me," he growled, he would have used Genesis if not for his promise to you that he wouldn't. "(Y/N), tell me, who hurt you?"

"You remember by ex?" You knew you had to tell him, otherwise he would have just kept on about it.

"Dean?"

"Yeah."

"What'd he do?" Jesse clenched his fists and jaw.

"He saw me at work," you sniffled. "Started saying things about you, me, us."

"What'd he say?"

"That I was worthless and that you were only with me for sex."

"You know he's wrong," Jesse growled. "He's gonna pay for it, (Y/N), I swear to God."
