You were eager to go along with Archie to meet the Basterds, as your cousin, Hugo Stiglitz, was one of them. Your cousin had always been quiet, but growing up, he was your best friend, until your side of the family relocated to England when you were merely fifteen, forcing you and your once best friend to break away. You hadn't seen him for so long, and when you did, you forgot your fiancé was beside you, not knowing who Stiglitz was to you, as you ran over to the Basterd and hugged him tightly.

"Hugo!" You rejoiced, holding him at arm's length.

"(Y/N)," he grinned, although his voice was quiet. Meanwhile, Archie stood with Aldo, his gaze cold and jealous, something the leader of the Basterds didn't fail to notice.

"Your girl, huh?" Aldo said, his eyes following to where Archie's were.

"If he smiles at her one more time, I will end him." Archie stated quietly, almost to himself, Aldo let out a fairly loud chuckle.

"That's her cousin," Aldo said. "She not tell ya?"

"No. (Y/N) never really talks about that side of her family."

"Well at least now y'know you ain't got nothin'a worry about."

You and Hugo were drinking, fairly excessively, too, and to say you were drunk, would have been an understatement, however, your cousin was still completely sober, somehow.

"Archie," you called over, voice slurring, and the British gentleman sat at your side, watching you protectively. "I love you so much for getting them to let me over, y'know? I could marry you, like right here. Right now."

"You are so adorable when you're drunk," Archie chuckled softly, pressing a kiss to your temple. "But I think it's time we get you off to bed."

"See? You're such a gentlemanly man," you hiccuped as Archie set you down on the creaky old bed and tucked you in. "Will you be here, morning?"

"Of course," he reassured, kissing your forehead. "I'll be back."
