"Like this," Cassidy said, sitting in the shade with his young son, attempting to teach the boy Maths. "See?"

"Nah," his son shook his head. "Don't get it, Dad."

"Alright," Cassidy sighed, plucking the pencil from behind his ear and scribbling some numbers down on the sheet of paper. "See this number, Ewan?"

"Yeah," Ewan looked up at his father, his eyes wide with the will to learn but dulled from the lack of understanding. "What about it?"

"It does this," Cassidy explained, slowly jotting down the equation. "Understand?"
"I give up," the young boy sighed, slumping his shoulders and pouting slightly. "I'll never be any good..."

"Yeah you will," Cassidy reassured with a smile. "You just need a bit o' practice."
