Five days had passed and I still hadn't heard from Sophie and my heart was absolutely breaking. I sent her flowers 🌺 and I lost count of how many text messages I sent her. I even tried calling her work to speak to her but they said she had called in sick. This made me feel even worse because my stupid actions are affecting her work. I hadn't left home all week, Kerrie has been calling me about my upcoming tour which leaves in three weeks but I really want Sophie back before I leave or I ain't going. I decided to get up get dressed and make my way over to hers. I put on my nicest jeans and shirt. I noticed she had left a few things behind perfumes etc so I gathered them up and thought I would take them so I had a reason for being there. I text Kara asking if she was at home and she said she was and if I hurt her or upset her to much then she would not be responsible for her actions.
I pulled up at Sophie's around 11am and the curtains where still closed. At least she couldn't hide if she seen me coming. I walked up to the porch and I nervously rang the door bell. I heard movement behind the door and then it opened, I was shocked to see her she looked dreadful.
"Hey" I said
"What are you doing here Luke, haven't you hurt me enough" she said half shutting the door
"Sophie please you won't answer my calls or texts, we need to talk I need to explain" I pleaded
She opened the door and let me in
"Well you look fine" she snapped
"Looks can be deceiving, I am a wreck on the inside. I can't sleep because I can still smell you on my sheets, I can eat because my stomach is in knots" I said
"Well it's yourself to blame on that one" she sniped
She opened the curtains and let in some light.
"Baby, what can I do to make it up to you" I whispered
"I'm not your baby" she replied
"Please Soph, just hear me out ok" I asked
"Fine you have five minutes"
"First of all I am so sorry. I don't know why I did it, well that's a lie I guess I kinda missed the flirting. I promise I would have never have taken it further. When you walked in I knew I had fucked up. If I could turn back the clock I would. Sophie please let me make it up to you." I said with tears filling up in my eyes. I saw her face soften a little, I saw the old Sophie.
"Luke I'm gonna need some time. You need to prove I can trust you again." She said
"I will baby I will" I said getting up and walking over to her
"Luke...... " she hesitated
"Yes" I asked
"I miss you, but as I said I need time."
"I miss you too" I said
I got up and gave her a hug
"I will wait for you Sophie. Will it be ok if I text you tomorrow"
"Yes. Goodbye Luke" she said
"Goodbye baby" I said winking at her
I walked down her path and I realised I still had a long way to to warn her trust back
