I leave tomorrow to go down to Mamas and collect Thomas. I have been super busy buying all the gifts and also getting the perfect engagement ring for Sophie. She has now idea I am going to propose. This Christmas is going to be the best one yet. My boy will be with me and we will be spreading the good news that Sophie is expecting and then my proposal, which is going to be outstanding. Sophie and I decided I should tell Thomas about the baby when I collect him so he don't get a shock. Hopefully he will take it well but I don't want him to think that he is loved any less.
"Baby are you sure you going to be ok when I am gone" I asked
"Luke your going to be gone one night which is nothing compared to all the other times you have abandoned me" she said smirking
"Baby I always ask you to come..."
"Luke I am messing with you. Go get Thomas and your mama and I will be fine here ok" she said
"Well you know what I wanna do right now" I said
"Luke sex is not on the boards tonight" she whined
"Ha Ha Ha" I laughed "No what I want to do is curl up on the sofa, put on the fire and watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, while sipping on hot chocolate and marshmallows and eating popcorn"
"Oh my god sounds like my idea of heaven" she said
"Let me finish packing and I will meet you in the living room. All you need to do is light the fire and put on the tv" I said kissing her head
I finished packing and headed to the kitchen and made the drinks and popcorn and went into the living room where Sophie was waiting for me. She looked beautiful with the firelight flickering off her pretty face.
"Here you go baby" I said handing her her mug. I sat down and pulled her close. This was the best night of my life. Who would have thought i would have been settled this time last year.
It was the morning I was leaving to go to Georgia it was a good 6 hour drive to Leesburg but I didn't mind I loved driving.
"Ok baby we will see you tomorrow can you have the rooms ready for mama and Thomas"
"No problem. I'm going to the store today as well. Does Thomas have any favourite food at all"
"Just get him kid stuff"
"Kid stuff y'all are funny" she said laughing
"Well you know what I mean. Oh he loves chicken and waffles" I said
"Just like his daddy. Ok baby drive safe and I will see you tomorrow night. Love you"
"To the moon and back" I replied kissing her deeply
I got in the road. Georgia here I come.
