We are heading back to Franklin after dropping Thomas off at Caroline's. Him and mama got on so well but Sophie has been quiet since the episode in Dairy Queen. I will try and speak to her once I get back home. We arrived at the airport in Nashville and I said
"Baby you wanna stay over at my place tonight and I can drop you at work in the morning"
"I'm just going to go home Luke, I have loads of things to do" she replied
"What's wrong darlin'" I asked her
"Nothing I just want to go home that's all" she snapped
"Ok, I will drop you off at home ok."
She didn't answer she just looked out the window. I know she must be hurting but he is just a kid I'm sure he never meant it with malice or anything.
I pulled up outside her house and I got out and went round to help her out but she was already out and getting her bags.
I helped her inside
"Baby are we ok" I asked
"Luke I don't know what I have done. Thomas hates me. He clearly wants you and Caroline to get back together and be a family so maybe I should just let you go" she said
My heart sunk
"Sophie listen to me, Caroline and I ain't ever gonna happen, you are the only one I want"
"I just need some time like can you give me that, I don't want to be a home wrecker." She said
"There is no home for you to wreck, but I will give you time but only because I love you and I don't wanna lose you." I said moving closer to her
"I love you with all my heart baby" I said kissing her on the forehead.
"I'm not gonna lose you" I said tilting her chin up and gently brushing her lips with mine. The kiss deepened and turned into a ten minute make out session.
"Luke I love you to, but when you go visit him next time can you go by yourself, spend some Daddy time with him" she said
"Ok but Soph, he will just have to accept that me and his mama are never gonna be. I will have a word. So do you still wanna be left alone"
She smiled and closed the door,
"Oh course I don't baby" she said as she pulled me towards the bedroom
