I got out the truck and ran round to the passenger side to help Sophie out. I waved up to mama who was making her way to meet us.
"I'm so nervous baby" Sophie said
"Im here baby" I reassured her
We both got out and I took her hand to make her feel more at ease
"Oh my boy, how you doing sweetheart, and you must be Sophie" she said before I even got a chance to speak
"Hi Mrs Bryan it's nice to finally meet you, Luke has told me so much" she said.
"Oh sweetheart call me LeClaire and it's a pleasure. Luke where's your mamas hug and kiss" she said leaning towards me. I gave her a kiss and a hug
"I've missed you mama"
"Me too baby boy. Why don't you bring in your things and Sophie n I will make a start on dinner" she said showing Sophie inside.
I grabbed our things at the headed inside.
"So sweetheart tell me about yourself. Luke has told me something's but you know boys they don't tell there mamas everything" Mama said
"Well I'm a trainee dentist" Sophie started to say
"I know that, what I wanna know is how you to met, that I don't know" mama said laughing
"Well I was at a concert of his and you know how clumsy he is, well he fell off the stage and I was lucky enough to break his fall" she said
"It took him a little while to get in touch with me and he invited me and my friend to Alabama to a show and I fell for his southern charms. You have a brilliant son LeClaire" she said
"That I do sweetheart that I do. I only wish his brother and sister could see how far he has come" Mama said with a tear in her eye
"Mama they are watching me from above and they are in here" I said pointed to my heart.
I didn't actually go into the ins and outs of what happened to Chris and Kelly but Sophie never asked, I think she has just known form what has been on the media. Sophie spoke
"Why don't I go and start the dinner and you and your mama have a good catch up. I just need it know what I'm making and where the kitchen is" she laughed
Mama eventually gave in and let Sophie do the cooking while mama and I have a good chin wag. I think this is gonna be a brilliant weekend
