It had been 3 weeks since Caroline dropped the bombshell about Thomas and today we get the results of the DNA test. Sophie and I where going to go to the lawyer together so he could go through the results and what we do from there. My phone pinged a text. It was Sophie
Soph💖💖: hey baby I'm running a little late. I will just meet you at the lawyer
Me: ok, please don't be late you know how important this is to me x
Soph💖💖: Luke of course I know how important this is so don't start. I will meet you there xx
I didn't mean to me short with her it's just I'm in complete turmoil and I don't know what I actually want to hear today.
I arrived at my lawyers office and as I was heading in Sophie pulled up
"Hey baby, sorry about earlier" I said kissing her cheek
"It's ok I know how stressed you have been" she replied
We headed in and we were seen straight away
"Mr Bryan, miss Payton so nice to see you"
Simon said as we entered his office
"You to Simon, so do you have those results" I asked
"Yes I do. So Miss Boyer has also received a copy of the results this morning so she already knows the results" he said
"She ain't contacted me" I said
"No she was instructed not to until you received the results. Well let's do this. Luke Thomas is your son." He said rather matter of fact
"Ok. So what happens now. I want to see him" I said
"Well we can discuss visiting rights and you will have to pay back dated monies to Miss Boyer for child maintenance for the last ten years. The total will be $60,000."
Sophie looked at me and smiled. I could see she was glad that the result was finally here.
"Ok I will have it transferred to her. I also what to help them get there own house. I want him also to have a good education" I said
"I can pass all this information on to her and she will contact you and discuss everything with you"
We both stood up and thank Simon
"Well I will keep in touch" I said
Sophie and I headed out.
"So you have a son baby, how are you feeling"
"Mixed emotions to be honest baby."
"That's totally understandable" she replied
We both decided we would get some lunch before getting back to work.
