Sophie's POV
Luke went back out on the road today he is only gone 4 days this time. Things between us are almost back to normal. He has been super sweet, and doing loads for me. I went back to work last week which has been fantastic. I have one slight problem I'm almost a week late on my period and I have been getting sick in the mornings. I haven't said anything to Luke since the first time I was sick. To be honest I'm petrified I may be pregnant. I don't know if we are ready for that just yet. I didn't want to say anything to Kara because she might say some thing to Carter, so I decided to talk to Sarah, she was like a mother figure to me at work and we got on really well.
"Sarah can I have a chat with you please" I said
"Sure sweetheart I will meet you in the cafeteria and we can catch up. Give me five mins ok. " she said smiling
I headed to the cafeteria and clicked the kettle on. Sarah came in and said
"Hey sweetheart is everything ok, it's not you and Luke y'all ain't fighting again are you"
"No no it ain't nothing like that we are good. Almost back on track. The issue is with me. I'm... im.... late" I whispered
"Your not.... are you" she said shocked
"I don't know I have been sick a good few times but other than that I don't feel any different" I said
"Have you took a test. What is Luke saying about it" she said
"No I ain't and he don't know I haven't told him anything" I said
"Sophie you need to tell him and you need to know for sure, cos' honey if you are you ain't gonna be able to hide it if you are" she said in complete mama mode
"In scared Sarah, I don't know if we are ready"
"Listen sweetheart, no one is every ready for that. If he loves you he will stick by you and if he don't then you find the strength inside yourself to trundle on" she said
"Will you do the test with me. I have one in my bag, I bought it this morning."
"You not wanna do it with Luke"
"I don't wanna rock the boat until I know" I said
"Ok. But you need to speak to him regardless the result ok" she replied
"I will"
I grabbed my bag and the two of us headed to to ladies. I went into the stall and did what I needed to do. Two minutes and I will find out if my life will change forever. I have no idea what Luke will do if I am, he hadn't spoke about kids, it's not something we have discussed, hell we have only been dating a few months, we ain't even met one another's parents. By alarm went off stating it was time to look.
"Sarah I can't look you will
Need to"
"Okay" she said looking at the stick. I could not tell from her reaction she was completely poker faced
"Sophie's you are ......................"
