Rory started to wonder if it was a good idea to invite Logan, into her home. She really wanted Odette there but if she wanted Odette to come she had to extend the invite to Logan...

RORY POV

By 5:30pm everyone had arrived with the exception of Finn's mom and dad, I asked them to show up late. Finn and I greeted everyone that came, but I was keeping my distance from Logan. I look around the room and am warmed with the feeling of love, everyone was here coexisting without any problems, mom, Luke and grandma were on their best behaviors , Lane was chatting with Odette, Colin and Robert were playing with Steve, Kwan, Martha and Davy with Logan hovering drinking a glass of scotch. Luke, Jess and April were chatting; Mom, Finn and Sookie were drinking spiked eggnog laughing about something. I loved seeing everyone get along.

There was a knock on the door and I went to ask Finn to answer the door knowing it would be his parents, he happily agreed and answered the door asking who else was coming.

"Mum, dad? What are you doing here?" He says as he gives his mom a hug and kiss

"That sweet girl invited us!" Maya said pointing to me

"I hope you don't mind, I thought maybe..." I started but Finn stopped me

"I don't mind at all, it's just what I needed. Thank you."

"You're very welcome Finny. Maya, Xavier you know just about everyone here so feel free to wander around and enjoy."

"Thank you, Rory." Xavier says as Maya hugs me

I watched as they went in, I smiled... Everything was like it should be.

Halfway through the party I pulled Maya and Xavier into the office, I wanted to show them the album Chloe had me prepare for Finn.

Maya was almost in tears, she loved that her mom wanted me to do this for Finn.

After showing them I went to hide it again, turning around Logan was standing in the doorway.

"Logan. I hope you are enjoying yourself."

"I would be enjoying it more if it were our party."

"Logan." I warned

"No, Rory. I love you, I never stopped. I know you love me too, you really want to be with me and you are just trying to get back at me for the Odette thing by being with him!" he said as he backed me into a corner

"No, I love Fi..." I tried to say before he forcefully kissed me while I tried to push him off

Just then Robert comes rushing into the room pulling Logan off of me; tears were rolling down my face and fear rattling though me.

"Look at her Logan; does it look like she wanted that?" Robert said furiously

Logan looked at me and his face changed as I'm sure he saw the fear in my eyes.

"What's going on?" Odette says but sees my face and came rushing up to me taking me in her arms for a hug.

"Mother, I am going to take Logan here for a walk and you talk to O here."

I nodded and as soon as they left the room I slumped to the floor.

"What happened, Rory?" Odette asked

"Need Finn..." is all I could get out.

She immediately got up and went to find him, and Lane came in.

"Rory?"

I look up and lane comes over to me getting on her knees in front of me.

"I saw what happened; I didn't want to bombard you. I know how you get. Are you okay?"

I shook my head no and she hugged me. "I will let you be, if you want to talk know I am here!"

I nod. Finn and her meet in the door way. Lane pulled Finn outside and explained what happened.

I watched as Finn's face turned to anger but when he looked at me his face softened.

He thanked Lane and came and sat next to me so he could pull me into his lap.

"I'm sorry, kitten. I thought he would keep his word and back off. Did he hurt you?"

I shook my head but in reality it was as if he left another mark but this time invisible.

"I tried to tell him I didn't love him but he wouldn't let me, I didn't want him to kiss me, I didn't want any of this, why is he making this so hard..."

"I know you didn't, love. He still loves you I'm not making excuses for him but I think that he doesn't know how to process it and it's making him a wanker."

"Can we just forget this happened for right now and go enjoy the rest of our night?"

"As you wish, love. Now go fix yourself up and I'll meet you out there when you're ready."

Once Rory had made sure she was presentable, she went back out to join her family. The first person to come up to her was Robert; he apologized for not stepping in sooner and reassured her that Logan was gone. Rory thanked him for stepping in at all and removing Logan.

I noticed Odette was still here, sitting by herself with a sad look on her face. I took a deep breath and went over and sat in front of her.

"I'm so sorry Odette."

"No need for you to be sorry, Robert told me exactly what happened. I'm just sad because... Well because I love him and he doesn't love me, I shouldn't love him when he does things like this."

"He's not a bad guy, really Odette, he's just broken. All you can do is stand with him through this and if it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Just know that if things don't change in a certain time frame maybe it's time to make a change for you. Don't let him hurt you anymore than he has, you need to tell him how you feel and where you would like things to go with him, that is the only way he will understand what he has, maybe then he can pull his head out of his ass."

"Thank you Rory, do you mind if I leave early? I would really like sometime alone to think."

"No, I don't mind just let me know you are safe."

"You are turning out to be a great friend, Rory."

"You too Odette, I am here if you need me."

Rory said her goodbyes to Odette and went back to her party. Everyone was talking and having a good time. She took notice that April and Colin were sitting together, drinking and laughing. On the other side of the room Robert and Lane were doing the same. She made a mental note to talk to all four of them tomorrow, separately.

I got pulled out of my thoughts as mom came rushing up to me.

"Do you smell it? Wait, close your eyes and breathe." she asked with wide eyes

"I do! I finally have your gift!" I laughed and grabbed her hand, pulling her outside

"What are you girls doing out here, it's freezing." Finn says as he brings our jackets out to us.

I look at my mom and smile.

"Just wait." I said

"Wait for what?"

Just then it began to snow.

"This!" I say

"Everything's magical when it snows." mom says

Finn wraps his arms around me "Yes, yes it is."
