"Bro think you got 30 bucks I can borrow?" I ask Jerome

"Uh yeah what you need it for?"

"I want to buy some kicks for the party tonight but since I had to give Layla and Kaine money to pay off their school shit so I'm short on cash" I explained

"Here little bro" He gave me a 100 dollar bill

"Thanks bro" I walked out his room and down the stairs.

I grabbed my coat before walking out the house so I could catch a cab to the foot locker on Broadway

I walked to the corner of the block flagging a cab down and getting in. I told ol dude where I wanted to go.

Arriving I quickly got out heading inside. I ain't have a lot of time to shop since the store closed in about an hour. Good thing I already knew what shoes I wanted

"Welcome to Foot locker" The dude at the door said

I gave a nod before going to the shoes I wanted. I was gonna cop me some white and red Jordan retro 7s. They came out a week ago but due to the circumstances I couldn't buy them so I'm copping them today.

"Aye can I get these in a size 11 my guy?"

"Yeah sure no problem"

I took a seat on the little bench they had here while I waited for them to bring back my shoes.

I took my phone out and began scrolling through it seeing a couple people post pictures of their moms.

I still haven't gotten a chance to talk to my mom due to the fact that I haven't seen her. Like its starting to worry me because I don't know what's going on with her.

"Here you go" The dude gave me the shoes snapping me out my thoughts.

I took the shoes trying them on making sure they fit. Once I seen they did I paid for them and was on my way out.

I caught another cab back home.

The cab pulled up and I paid him before getting out.

I seen my brother was outside with his homies playing ball

"Aye don't be outside to late" I yelled to him

"I won't" He yelled back

I hated when they were out at all times of the nights. Our neighborhood was calm for the most part but it had its days where niggas went crazy shooting shit up.

I walked inside the house heading straight to my room. It was now 7:30 and the party started at 8. The party was in Brooklyn so that there was almost a 40 minute drive so by the time I got ready and arrived I would be getting there around 9:30 if not 10. I had to work tomorrow morning so I was definitely not staying out as late as I usually do.
