"We gonna find her" Mugga said but I wasn't tryna hear it.
It's been 3 days since they took her and I was going crazy. I had no idea who would do it. I didn't know who her father was or what that nigga looked like so how am I suppose to know where to find him at to find out if he's the one who did it?
"We gotta call the police" Jungle said
"Nah man" I shook my head. I wasn't trying to get them involved.
"Dave this shit is real life. This ain't no movie or book where you can do shit on your own and there's no consequences. If we do this on our own we either end up dead or in jail. You gotta think this shit through" Mugga said
I know they were right but what if 12 don't find her?What if they pull a racist card and she ends up dead.
"They don't care about us" I told them checking my phone to see if I had any news of her.
"We gotta call. They gotta be able to trace the number or something"
"But what if they try and blame us since it's been 3 days"
Right now I couldn't afford to get locked up because that'll be time taken away from me finding her.
We can never catch a break and at this point I don't know what to do any more.
"Call home boys parents. We can all go and report her missing"
I paced around the living room debating whether or not to call Ant's fam.
I sent Kain and Layla to stay with Jungle's OG and Heaven was with Ant's family because I can't have them staying here and them some happens.
I was staying here incase one of these niggas try and show up.
I was interrupted from my train of thought by the door bell going off. We each grabbed our glocks aiming it at the door.
Jungle looked out the window then put his gun down
"It's Ant's parents put that shit away" He whispered.
We quickly hid the guns under the couch before opening the door
"Hi guys any word yet?" His mom asked as she hugged us
"No ma'am" I sighed
"Well I say we get the police involved. I have some friends who can help us"
"Let's do it" I said
I didn't want to but I don't have time to play the what if game. They're right this isn't a movie or book this was real life.
If shit went left they could easily kill us or we'll all face life in prison for killing them. They probably had hella people working with them while we only had 3 niggas and a couple guns so odds weren't really on our side.
I watched as Mrs.Scott talked on the phone.
At this point all I could do was wait and pray.
"They're on their way" She said as she took a seat
"Can I offer you guys something to drink?" I asked
"No son we're good thank you though"
I nodded my head as I started pacing again. My nerves were bad and all I wanted to do was scream at the top of my lungs. How is it that it's only been a year and we've been through all this shit.
I was just ready to skip all this bullshit and jump to the part where we're happy.
"Dave this is officer Green and officer Williams"
I shook their hands as I watched some other people bring in equipment.
"We have our crew here to set things up so that we can trace the number and hopefully get the right location" Officer Green spoke I guess noticing my confusion
"Do you think we'll be able to find her?" I asked
"I'm not sure. But I can promise you we'll try our best. Now let's see the phone where the text came from"
I handed them Desire's phone watching them hook it up to some machine.
I was praying they got a location because this was my last resort.I wasn't a street nigga so I had no other connects. All I had was the cops
I took a seat watching them examine the picture of Desire that I gave them along with her phone.
Her phone started ringing throwing everyone off
"Here answer it and try and sound as normal as possible" Officer Green said
I got up from my spot walking over to them answering the phone
"Hello?"
"Hope you like your gift" The person said before hanging up just as the doorbell rung.
Everyone turned to look at each other.I walked to the door checking to see if someone was there but I didn't see nobody all I saw was a package.
I opened the door slowly grabbing the package.
"Here I'll open it so your DNA isn't on it" Officer William said taking it from me
He placed it on the coffee table opening it.
When he opened it my heart sunk.
