I was walking down the street to the corner store. We needed some things but didn't feel like going far so I decided to just go to the store near by then head home
Desire was going to cook some ribs and Shit and she needed some spices so I told her I'll go to the store and get it
I put my hands in my hoodie pocket to keep them warm because today was a cold day in the Bronx
As I walked down the few blocks towards the store I looked around for the first time since being here I actually took in the scenery.
The Bronx was different from Harlem but it had its similarities
Never in my life did I think I'll be living out here. Shit I never even wanted to come out here for parties and now I was living out this way.
Looking around I saw all the kids playing in the middle of the street which made me miss my siblings
It's been a year and I still haven't heard from Nataya, Kain or Layla. I missed them so much it hurt me not to be with them. To not be able to tell them happy birthday or merry Christmas. I went through every holiday alone and now my birthday was coming up and I was lucky that I at least had Desire to spend it with. Also blessed that I had a place to stay
I also missed Jerome. There's not a day that goes by where I don't worry about his whereabouts. I wish I knew If he was safe.
I hated how things went down between us. I just prayed he was good
I reached the store walking in head straight towards the aisle where the stuff was located

I turned around and saw it was Peanut
"Wassup?"
"Listen man i don't want no problems. Whatever problems you got with Blackie is between y'all"
"Nah I got a problem with you too" I chuckled
"And what problem might that be?"
"You ain't have my back when Blackie was on some Shit. He was straight up disrespectful towards me and you let his ass. You ain't try and stop him or have my back so we aint cool either" I shrugged
"Man Dave I ain't say shit cause I know you can handle yours. I cut him off after all the shit that went down between you and him. Blackie has changed a lot. It's like his mind is all the way fucked"
"I've been knew his head was gone. He ain't the same so I had to cut him lose. You went along with his games and that got you Fucked up as well. See with me once you show me yo true colors I can't fuck with y'all no more so good luck but I gotta dip" I patted his shoulder walking towards the front so I could Pay And get back home
