I got out the cab since a nigga ain't have a credit card and shit to get an uber. I made my way towards the house that she was staying in.
As I walked down the block i took a look around the neighborhood. There was nothing but junkies and niggas selling dope and playing dice outside.
I reached the house making my way towards the back. I leaned down knocking on the door hoping she would answer. I know she was here because her car was here.
I knocked a few more times and i finally seen her peak through the window before opening it.
"Dave what are you doing here?"She asked letting me come in
I climbed through the window closing it once i was in.
"I came to talk to you about some" I turned to face her
"Uh okay go ahead" She gave me a confused look
"So when i got to my homies crib they told me some shit that had me wondering and i thought I should ask you before i made assumptions and shit"
"Okay you have me worried so can you please tell me what it is?" She said clearly worried about was about to come out of my mouth.
"They told me that your dad is looking for you and he's offering 3 grand to whoever knows some about you and your whereabouts" I said but got cut off
"So you're here to tell me that your going to turn me in?"
"Nah i mean not if you give me a good reason not to" I shrugged
I needed the money but if she had a good reason for me not to turn her in then of course i wasn't gonna
"Dave please you can't tell anyone where I'm at please" She begged me with tears coming down her face
The look on her was filled with fear. Whoever this nigga was had her scared straight.
"Chill don't cry but why don't you want to go back to you old man?"I asked
"Dave he beats me. He uses me as his own punching bag and the police doesn't do shit about it. I couldn't take it anymore so I packed my shit and ran away. If you tell me where I'm at he's going to kill me Dave" She said now full out crying
My heart hurt for her. No women should ever have to go through that especially not by a nigga who's suppose to be her protector. I knew for a fact I couldn't turn shorty in.
"I won't tell no one Desire you're secret save with me" I told pulling her into a hug
"Dave you have to promise me you won't say nothing. I can't risk him finding me"
"I promise I won't say nothing so don't even worry about it ight" I rubber her back as she cried
"Thank you so much. I'm sorry for crying on you" She laughed a bit as she wiped her face
"It's all cool shorty. You needed to let it out and i was here don't be sorry" I gave her a smile showing my pearly white teeth taking a seat on this bench thing she had
"I really do appreciate you coming here and talking to me about everything before turning me in. Most guys wouldn't give a damn about what I had to say and would've turned me in the first chance they had" She smiled sitting next to me
"Well I'm not like most guys. I'm Dave" I laughed
"You're so lame for that" She laughed too
"I know but aye at least i got a smile from you and I got a laugh out of you too"
"I guess you did. You know you're not like I imagined you" She told me looking at me
"Oh really? And how you imagined me?"
"Like a cocky asshole who thought the world revolved around him"
"Wow I'm hurt" I held my chest pretending to be hurt by what she said
"But you're not like that" she laughed
"Nope not at all. Just because i was on the basketball team doesn't mean I'm an asshole" I said truthfully
"I guess. I mean everyone else on your team are assholes and the football team too" She said shaking her head
"Yeah I never really got along with a lot of them for the same reason. And I hate the way they treated females" I admitted
"Wow that's a first. So you don't treat them like that?"
"No. I mean there's a difference between a women and a hoe. Hoes I'll fuck them and never call or just use them for sex but that's because that's the shit they like. But a women deserves all the respect. They deserve a man who's going to show them the war and not just use them when they want to but that's just my opinion. My mother taught me better than that" I said
My mother always told me treat a women how they carry themselves if they out here throwing it to every nigga then don't respect them but she also told me never to put my hands on a no female no matter the situation.
"I guess you're right" She shrugged
"Well I should get going" I stood up
"Thank you again for coming" She said
I pulled her into hug before leaving out.

As soon as Dave left I hurried up and started packing my belongings. I know he promised he wouldn't say nothing but at this point I can't trust nobody and I don't even know if he was followed here or not.
I don't know why my dad wants me back so bad that he's even offering a prize but I know for a fact that I wasn't about to stick around and find out.
I packed the little stuff I had here and grabbed all my blankets and pillows loading up my truck. Once I made sure I had everything I got in and pulled off.
I knew exactly where I was going to go.
I wish I had enough money to rent an apartment or something but unfortunately I don't even have enough for the deposit they ask for before moving in.
I drove 20 minutes to my destination finally arriving to the house I would now call home.
