"Where you going?" Desire asked as I slid my shirt on
It's been a month since I've moved in with her and it's been pretty chill
She's became my best friend in the short amount of time and it's crazy because I never really vibed with a female like I vibe with her.
"Gonna go hit a lick again" I said as I laced up my shoes
"Let me come" She said standing in front of me
"What?" I looked up seeing if she was serious
"Let me hit a lick with you" she shrugged
"Desire this shit is dangerous"
"And you think what I do isn't? I think hitting a lick is much more safer than what I do don't you think?" She said as she started to change into all black clothing
I shook my head taking in a deep breath because I knew I wasn't gonna be able to win this
"I guess you're right" I sighed
"Of course I am" she smiled sliding her shirt on looking at herself in the mirror
I grabbed everything I needed as I waited for her to finish getting ready.
"You still aint get a call back?" I asked her
"No and it's really irritating me. Like why tell me you like me and want to hire me but then never call? Like don't lie and get my hopes up" She said putting her hair in a bun
"Don't trip you'll get a job soon" I told her
"I hope so because I don't want to do this illegal shit no more Dave. I'm tired of risking my life just to get some food to eat"
"I understand Dess but you can't let that stop you from grinding. The shit we doing is only temporarily. We gonna make it out Ight. You not alone no more so don't feel pressured or anything. I'm here with you so if you don't want to go and rob some old niggas let me know and I'll do what I gotta do"
She smiled at me before speaking

We grabbed our things before climbing out the window and walking down the block
We decided to walk to a near by bus stop instead of taking her car just Incase shit went left they wouldn't get her plates number
