"What you mean you're pregnant?" I asked her
She walked out the room then came back with two sticks in her hand
She gave them to me. I looked at them and they were pregnancy test and sure enough they were positive.
I sat there just staring at test
How the fuck I end up getting her pregnant? Why did I have to get her pregnant?
"Aren't you happy baby?" She asked taking the test out my hand placing them on the coffee table then sitting on my lap
"Uh yeah I'm happy" I lied sending her a smile
I wasn't trying be with her that long and now I'm stuck with her for the rest of my life.
How was I gonna tell this to Desire? Now every little bit of hope I had of ever getting with her flew out the window.
"Im so excited. I know you say it's to early to say I love you but Dave I really do love you. And now that we're going to be a family I love you even more" she smiled grabbing my hand placing it on her belly
"It's a lot to take in I mean I'm shocked more than anything but don't worry my child won't need for anything. When you're going to the doctor?"
"And me too right? You gotta make sure I'm good too. And Thursday is my appointment"
"You know what I mean. You carrying my seed so of course ima make sure you straight"
"I was reading stuff on pregnancy and stuff and I read that the baby feels when both parents are present and that's when it's more active and stuff and I heard it's better for parents to live together when they're expecting to give the baby good vibes so why don't you move in with me?" She smiled
I looked at her knowing damn well Ain't none of that Shit true cause half of the world be popping out and they not even together
But then again if she's gonna be one of Them needy ass pregnant women who's going to be calling my phone all hours of the night on some I need this and that then maybe it is best that I move in.
"You really want me to move in?" I asked her
"Of course Baby. I want you to be part of this whole process. I don't want you to miss anything!"
"But I can be there for everything from my house"
"No you won't. What if the baby's first kicks are in the middle of the night or something happens and your not here and don't hear your phone? Baby the first trimester is the most risky. I want you here for everything"
I sighed running my hand down my face. What did I get myself into?
"Ight I'll move in"
"Omg thank you baby"
"No problem baby. But you gotta give me some time. I can't just pack up and I gotta discuss things with Desire and set some stuff straight" I told her
"Okay but do it asap"
"I will"
"Let me order some food and we can watch a movie" she smiled getting up walking to the kitchen
I sat back on the couch throwing my head back staring at the ceiling.
Why couldn't this be with Desire? What could have went wrong for Desire want to end things before they even started? Everything was going so good so for her to tell me let's just be friends shocked the fuck outta me.
I honestly wasn't up for moving especially knowing that Jerome could be released at any moment and get to her but I was just going to keep a close eye on her.
"I ordered some wings and pizza" she said coming over to the couch laying down placing her feet on my lap
"Ight that's cool" I shrugged
"What's wrong?" She asked as she scrolled through Netflix looking for a good show or movie to watch
"Nothing my back hurts and I'm sore. It was hectic today at work" I told her
"Want a massage?" She offered but I didn't really feel like getting one at the moment
"Nah Im good baby. How was work?"I asked her
"It was okay. For the most party I can't really complain" she said
She worked at Macy's in the mall so it wasn't a lot but at least it was something.
Sandra was 20 years old and was a College drop out. She didn't like school so she decided to just drop out and work full time.
"It's not going to be to much stress on you and the baby is it?" I asked her
"No. Onces Im bigger they'll move me from position so that I won't do no heavy work"
I nodded my head turning my attention back to the tv.
As I was trying to get into whatever show was on the tv my phone went off with a text
I reached in my pocket pulling It out seeing that it was Desire
I clicked on the message unlocking my phone so I could see what she wanted

I couldn't help but to chuckle at the messages. This was the first time in months we actually spoke like shit was normal.
That's all I want is for us to be normal again. I miss her and miss being able to just chill with her. Maybe if I move out it'll give be the space she needs so it'll be better for us.
But how was I going to tell Desire that I'm moving out?
