"So what are you going to do on your day off tomorrow?" My co worker Joanna asked
"Clean and just relax I guess"
I honestly didn't have nothing to do besides go to Anthony's court hearing since he's getting full custody of his daughter
"Why don't we go out to lunch? You know some girl time" she asked
"Um I guess we can. I need my nails done so we can go and do that" I shrugged
I never had any female friends or any friends at all besides Anthony and Dave so this was kinda weird to me
I was always a loner growing up which people find it hard to believe because of how pretty i am. They say I look like I was the popular cheerleader or some but nope I was the nerd
"Sounds good. You need some Friends Desire it's okay to have fun with people once in a while. You don't have to trust people but just get out and enjoy yoself"
"I guess you're right" I giggled
"Exactly so tomorrow we're going to enjoy ourselves Ight"
"Ight but it's time for me to go" I said clocking out and grabbing my stuff.
I gave her a hug before walking out the office and towards the elevators.
I pressed the down button then waited for for the elevator
As I was waiting I checked my phone seeing I had a text from Anthony
Baby💑: Hey baby how you feeling?
I'm good. Wbu?
Baby💑: Good. I miss you. Let me spend the night
Sure come over. I miss you too baby😘
Baby💑: Ight baby I'll see you tonight
I put my phone up just as the elevator doors opened. I let the people get off the stepped in myself. I pressed the button for the first floor.
Arriving to the first floor I walked off seeing a teenage boy and girl. They looked familiar
"What's your names?" One of the social worker asked them
"My names Layla Brewster"
"My names Kain Brewster" they told the social worker
I stopped in my tracks and automatically knew that they were Dave's siblings. They looked like they've been through hell and It made my heart hurt
"And you say you don't know where your brother is?
