I opened my eyes seeing that I didn't know where I was
I quickly got up but instantly regretted it because my head started pounding
I groaned in pain as I laid back down
"There's some ibuprofen next to you with a bottle of water for the head ache" I heard a familiar voice say
I got up gently this time seeing Desire sitting in the middle of the floor counting some money
"Thank you but how did I get here" I asked as I drank the pills
"I found you sloppy drunk at the club last night so I brought you back to make sure you were safe" She turned to me sending a smile
"Thank you" i smiled back
I looked around the place seeing that this wasn't the same place she took me to last time
"Where are we?" I asked
"My new home"
"Why You move?"
"Honestly because I didn't trust your word. I thought you were lying to me about not turning me in to my dad so I had to move"
"No I wouldn't do that to you especially after you told me that he beat you"
"Well I know that now. But what are you doing in the Bronx?"
What the Fuck when I get to the Bronx? I could've sworn I was in Harlem
"Honestly i don't remember"
"You need a ride back?" She asked putting the money up and turning to me
"I don't have a reason to go back to be honest"
"What about your family? Your home"
"My siblings are who knows where and my mom died a couple months back so I'm homeless"
"I'm so sorry for your loss"she said taking a seat on the air mattress next to me
"Thanks. Where's your mom?" I asked
I always hear about how her dad's looking for her and how she's scared to return because of her dad but I never hear nothing about her mom looking for her or anything
"Um she died when I was 12"
