I sat in the chair of the waiting room staring at the wall as the images of Desire laying on the floor of our drive way bruised up with two stab wounds replayed in my head
"You Okay Lala?" Anthony's mom asked
She was dropping Heaven off when I was getting off the bus. She decided to come and keep my company until Dave got here. She was also worried about Desire
"I don't know" I said truthfully as tears fell
I think what hurts the most is that Heaven saw when they took Desire. And she started crying. Asking why they were taking Des from her.
Telling me that Des was going to leave her like her daddy.
"Nana is mommy okay?" She asked
I cried harder because this is the first time I heard her call Des mommy.
"Yes baby. She's just getting a check up"
"Oh okay. Don't cry Lala she only getting a check up" she said reaching over wiping my tears
I laughed a bit at just how innocent she was
"Where is she? What happened?" I heard Dave yell before reaching us
I got up going over to a frantic Dave. I didn't want Heaven to hear anything I had to say
"Dave" I said
"Layla you good?" He asked checking me
"Yeah I'm good. It happened before I got home"
"Where's Kain and Heaven?" He asked
"Kain's still at school at basketball practice and Heaven's over there with Ant's mom"
He sighed in relieve before I seen a couple tears fall
"What happened? How is she?" He asked
"I don't know what happened but when I got off the bus I walked up the drive way and seen her laid out all bruised up with stab wounds she was laying in her own blood" I said crying now
He pulled me into a hug
Honestly didn't want nothing to happen to Desire. She's like my sister and I swear I'll probably go crazy if I lose her.
