i left the room to get jae a bottle of water. as i opened the fridge, i took a quick gulp myself. i felt a something behind me and i simply smiled.

"morning sungjin."

"i see that you brought him home."

"yeah."

"what did you tell that dowoon kid?"

i looked at him confused. how did he know him?

"what?", i asked.

"the kid that dropped you back here. what did you fucking tell him?"

"about what?"

sungjin smacked his head against his palm and groan.

"about the damn hospital you idiot!"

it took me a while to process what he was saying as i rose a brow. i snapped my fingers and then scratched my head.

"ah~ the kid?"

"aH~ THe kId?"

"why is this such a big deal anyways? he lost his friend, i lost mine-"

"you made that happen."

"i'm just saying."

sungjin walked around the island in the kitchen and then smacked his head.

"you okay?"

suddenly, he lifted his head and hit my forehead.

"the kid went driving to the hospital! he told the police. he exposed your name and everything. what are you gonna do now?"

"what?", i shrieked.

i backed away and placed a calm look on my face so jae wouldn't notice the tension.

"here you go."

he fumbled with the water bottle's cap.

"where are we?", he asked.

"my house."

"oh."

jae's eyes avoided mine as his face turned red. why was he so cute?

"c-could you not stare at me like that?"

"like what?"

he grabbed a pillow and smacked it at my face, making me laugh.

"you know exactly what you're doing!", he whined.

the bed made a loud creak noise as i pounced on top of him. nuzzling my face into his neck, he lightly smacked his pillow at my back in a repetitive, slow motion. soon enough he got tired and stopped, running his other hand through my hair.

"i love you."

"i love you too", he mumbled back.
