"i know that kid knows where he is."

"i don't think so", jackson denied.

"clearly they're hiding something! didn't you see how that dark haired boy cut in?"

"yeah but the other one had a number on his neck."

i didn't even notice anything.

"we should ask dowoon", i mumbled, feeling embarrassed.

jackson jumped in his seat and looked at me.

"what?"

"jae!"

i tilted my head. who's jae? then i recall when dowoon's accident when he wouldn't stop mumbling.

"that kid must be jae!"

"you can't just assume. you don't have proof."

"it's my gut, mark. you have to trust my gut. it's always right~", he teasingly pokes my cheek, reminding me of all the times where his gut really did lead us to everything.

brian. what is wrong with you? why'd you leave me for that dumb, stupid 'jae'? was he really worth your time? looks like he can't even do shit. my heart feels like a bunch of thorns and it's choking me slowly. my eyes are so sore, it's like they could roll out any second now. jackson pulled up on the driveway, making me snap into my senses.

"chill out. we'll ask dowoon first."

"whatever...", i mumble.

no mark, you are not jealous. he wasn't worth your time. there are people out there who need you. i can't bring my emotions into this. my neck is tense as jackson slams the door, mouthing 'sorry'. i laugh. he was the only person who's made me happy, besides brian.

"dOWOON!", he screeches.

i look down at the floor, feeling a cold wind hit my neck. most of the lights were off and there wasn't a sound.

"his shoes aren't here", i point out.

jackson sighs, smacking his head against his palm repeatedly.

"i swear to god we can never have peace on this fucking planet as long as we have humans."
