Fifty Eight

Barry couldn't process what Killer Frost had just said. Was he in a dream or something because in what world did she believe that he was going to allow her to do that. Even if it was a possibility, he didn't care.

"Flash come on. We are wasting time here the longer we stand around thinking about this. We all know that it's our best hope. You asked me to trust you as you knew that I was able to help. Now let me help," said Killer Frost. 

"No... We don't know what will happen as you never have used your powers to that extent. We don't know what is your power source," said Flash. 

Killer Frost stumbled forward and Flash grabbed her arms for support. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths in and out. When she opened her eyes she responded in a shaking voice. 

"Please Barry, i know that what she is and what she can do. She is no ones friend and she sure doesn't care about anyone. I don't see any way for me to possibly win from her. I'm long gone and I can't keep fighting her," she begged.

 Barry notice that her eyes weren't the cold blue but her usual warm brown. It was Caitlin who he was now facing. She had tears in her eyes and she was shaking from head to toe. 

"Caitlin, I don't know why we are even having this conversation. You know me better than anyone and you know that I won't let people I love make a sacrifice... Especially for me. What will be different if I beat Savitar now if the price I have to pay is your life. I still loose the one thing that I care about more than my life itself."

"Barry this world can live without a cold hearted monster like Killer Frost but it can't survive without a pure hearted hero the Flash. We all know that we always worked on making this city's future positive and safe. We won't be able to do that if something  happens to you... I won't be able to forgive myself knowing that I could have saved you," cried Caitlin. "Let me do this... Especially if this is the last thing I can do to help my friends and the person that I lo..." But she stopped and somethings changed... She rolled her head and Killer Frost was back.

"Wow, she is weak. So dependent on people that she thinks are her friends," snapped Killer Frost. 

"Than why are you so keen on helping us defeat Savitar when you know that it may result in you dying?" Questioned Flash. 

She stopped at this and looked away. "Honestly I don't know. I wish I had an answer to that but I don't. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm doing this. So let's go. You say that you love her so much, than do it for her and that love. It will give her peace. 

She didn't give him much time to think as she closed her eyes and Flash stepped back. A cold mist and started to twirl around her like a snake. The temperature around them started to change as it started to get colder. If it was possible, Flash notice that Killer Frost was starting to get paler. 

She raised her hands up slowly and opened her eyes. They were as white as ice. "Hold my hands, as soon as I transfer all this cold energy into you... You have energise and release it using your lighting straight into Savitar. You will get one chance and if you hold onto it too long, the cold will kill you," explained Killer Frost. 

Hesitating, Flash nodded and stepped forward. He slowly grabbed her hands and he could feel the cold spreading into his body. He was starting to loose feeling in his arms and he was shivering from all the cold. She released his hands and he did as he was told. He aimed and shot the frost lighting at Savitar. He watched frozen as it hit Savitar. At first Savitar struggled to move as the cold spread around. He struggled and his suit started to act weird. 

"He worked..." Laughed Flash. Soon that laugh was gone when he saw Savitar shake off the cold like it was no big deal. 

"You can't beat me Flash," he yelled and started make his way towards them. Fllash noticed that the attempt to destroy his connection to the suit had worked a little as his speed has slowed down. 

"We need... Need more... More energy," remarked Killer Frost from behind him. I think I have enough juice left in me for another round."

Again she closed her eyes and concentrated on pulling all the energy from her body into one. Flash gave her his hands again (hesitating). She grabbed his hands and pulled him closer and they were now standing very close. He could now see into her eyes as she slowly opened them. Even though they were white cold, he could still see that sweet warm hearted Caitlin staring back at him. 

She pulled him even closer and kissed him. He kissed her back and even though cold was spreading in him, it still felt good as he had thought of this kiss for so long. To be able to hold her in his arms. The kiss lasted for a while and Barry wished that it didn't have to end as she slowly pulled away. 

In the split second, he saw tears falling down her cheeks as she pulled away. He did the same thing that he had done before and vibrated to gather all his energetic particles. It combined with his charge and with the cold frostbite that he had gotten from Killer Frost. 

Killer Frost stepped back as she saw him glow in a circle of yellow and red. A smile spread on her face as she knew that this was it. Eveything started happening in slow motion as Flash stepped forward and threw the lighting at Savitar. 

Killer Frost followed the lighting as it sored through the air. Things started to get foggy and out of focus. She strained her eyes to as the ground started to spin and it started to black out. She could see something  red/yellow hit something blue and heard a loud bang. She saw something freeze and fall.

As Savitar came to his knees... So did Killer Frost... Darkness started to take over... As Savitar fell... So did Killer Frost... And Caitlin....
