Dominance [H.S]

CHAPTER 4

I was nervous, nervous to meet my own mom. Is that even normal? I'm just afraid that she maybe have turned really crazy, or maybe dad was just talking too much.

I took a deep breath and opened the car door, it smelled like spring. Moms flowers smelled terrific when I stepped outside.

"I'll take your bag pumpkin, go and say hi to your mom" dad insisted.

"Thanks dad" I answered and walked towards the door.

Same old wooden door, I've been walking in and out through this door many times, even times when mom and dad didn't knew about it. I smiled as I opened the door and saw mom standing by the window in the living room.

"Hey mom" I said as I entered the hall.

She turned around and her sky blue eyes lit up. "Hey my love"

She walked towards me and dragged me into a long and warm hug.

"Where's Lucas?" She asked.

"He had to work today, he and his family sends us much love" I explained.

She smiled and stroke my cheek with her hand.

"I'm so glad you're here. I've invited some guest over to the ceremony who also wanted to leave some flowers to Amanda" my mom said and walked towards the kitchen.

"Guests?" I asked and followed her through the living room to the little old fashioned kitchen.

"Yes, people who loved her, and who wants to show her respect" she explained and turned on the coffee machine.

I nodded. "How many is showing up?"

"About 10 people including us"

I nodded. "Mom I brought a CV here if you would like to read it, since I've been looking around for jobs you know" I said and hoped for her to say yes.

"Of course, I can do that tomorrow" she smiled.

Tomorrow?

"Mom I'm not stayi.." I started.

"What?" Her voiced cracked.

"That would be great" I said quickly.

She nodded and smiled.

I rolled my eyes out of sight of mom. I didn't planned to stay, damn. But I'll do it for mom.

People started to enter the house, people I didn't knew, people I didn't knew Amy knew. I greeted everyone as mom gave me the evil eyes.

"Samantha can you go to the kitchen and make some more coffee? We need to drink something before we goes to Amanda's grave" my mom asked.

"Sure" I gave her a quick kiss on the cheek as I made my way to the kitchen.

A guy was standing by the kitchen window speaking on his phone when I walked inside the kitchen. I didn't recognised him, I didn't recognised a single person that were here today.

I sighed as I poured some coffee powder in the machine and filled it with water.

"Excuse me when is the ceremony about to start?" The guy asked me.

"In about half an hour" I answered and looked at him.

"Okay, I need to go to a meeting in an hour but I can stay for a while" he said and rested his back against the flower painted wall.

I didn't remember that I asked.

I nodded. "Okay"

"Sorry I need to introduce myself, I'm Harry" he said and reached out his hand.
