CHAPTER 11

Samantha's POV

I walked into my moms old closet and searched around for the perfect cocktail dress. She had more than hundreds so I couldn't really choose one favourite. I was choosing between two dresses, one red made out of silk who had a tight fit or a blue cocktail dress with a diamond adorned bust. I took them and hanged them on the door. I studied them more by detail and took a solution. The red one was more sexy and the blue one was more fancy. I bit my lip and looked at them both once again, this was so damn hard.

I decided to try on the blue one. It was a really elegant dress and the diamond adorned bust made it look more expensive, I pulled down my hair and took a pair of white high heels to complete the look. I walked into my own room and took a diamond neckless that mom gave me last Christmas from my jewerly box. I straightened my hair to make it look more stylish and applied some blush and some mascara.

I looked myself into the mirror and studied every detail of my look for tonight.

"Not bad" I said and nodded. I took some perfume before I went downstairs.

My mom was standing by the door and smiled as I waked downstairs.

"You looks so beautiful sweetheart" she said as she handed me my coat.

"Thanks mom"

"Dad will drive you, he's waiting outside" she said and kissed my cheek before she licked her thumb and wiped away some mascara underneath my eyes.

I nodded and looked at Lucas. He was looking at me and mom and smiled as he caught me looking over at him.

I gave him a quick kiss before I went outside. It was cold but at least it didn't rain, and I'll have to thank god for that later. I walked to dad's car and jumped into the passenger seat.

"You look so beautiful pumpkin" he said as I fastened my seatbelt.

"I'm not going to a prom dad, mom reacted just like you" I said and giggled as dad started to drive.

"I know, but I just remembered when I drove you to prom in high school. You were wearing a purple dress and you were so exited to go" he said and smiled.

"Yeah I remember, I was going with Lucas and you picked us up late that night"

"Yeah, you were so happy that night. I've never seen you so happy before" he said and turned left by a crossing.

"It was the best night of my life" I said and smiled.

"Promise to have fun tonight, but not too fun" dad said as he stopped outside a big museum.

"I promise dad, love you" I kissed his cheek before I unclasped my seatbelt.

"Call me when you want to be picked up"

"Yes" I opened the door and climbed outside onto the hard sidewalk.

I waved dad goodbye and walked towards the door. A bald man asked for my name and told me that James already was inside. I walked inside and saw that a black haired guy with a blue tie was walking towards me.

"You need to be Samantha right?" He asked as he reached out his hand.

"Yes, and you must be James?" I said and shook his hand.

"Yes James. James Lee"

"Nice to meet you James" I said and smiled.

"It's my pleasure. Let me take your coat" he said.

I smiled and handed my coat to James. We walked together through the big entrance and up onto a big golden stair. The stair leaded us into a big room with loads of people, rich people of course. I followed James into the big room and walked with him to a man with a grey beard sitting by one of the tables.
