"Babe, are you okay?"

I sighed.

"Not really."

"What's wrong?"

"It's been a year since my Mom died. I just miss her so much."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's fine."

"No, it's not. Want me to get some snacks and we can cuddle and go on Netflix."

"That sounds good."

"Okay, I'll be right back."

Emilio pecked me on the lips. He got up and left.

Emilio came back with a big tub of Cookies 'N' Cream Ice Cream, popcorn, chocolate, and some water.

"What movie should we watch?"

"Can we watch Coraline?"

"Imtssve never seen that."

"You've never seen Coraline?"

"No."

"Now we have to watch it. I used to watch it when I was little. It honestly used to freak me out but now I love it."

"Creep you out?"

"Just wait and see. You'll see what I'm talking about."

I put on Coraline. I cuddled up to Emilio and started to eat.

"It already looks creepy."

"Just watch."

I pecked Emilio on the lips.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Emilio actually got my mind off of my Mom for a while. Everytime I would look sad he would do anything to make me laugh and forget about it. I'm so glad I have him in my life.
