It was two days before Cheryl's and Josie's wedding day. The dresses had been fitted for the brides and the bridesmaids. The only thing wrong was Josies' worries. Since the start of their relationship, they would always argue over something one of them said. Sometimes the arguments blow over but some end up with a break-up. Josie didn't know if it was the right thing to do... to get married, even though she proposed. Don't get her wrong, she loved Cheryl so much and couldn't imagine her life without her in it, but could they cope with married life?
"Not long now hunny!" Cheryl said walking in their house after working a shift. Josie smiled and welcomed Cheryl home with a hug.
"That was your last shift for a couple of weeks right?"
"Yup! All done for now." Cheryl said just before Cheryl's phone rang, Josie looked down at it and saw Veronica's name.
"Why is she calling?" Josie snapped.
"I don't know, probably about the wedding." Cheryl explained. Cheryl and Veronica had history, they dated back in college.
"I don't want you talking to her." Josie demanded.
"She's only calling Josie, I haven't talked to her in years, I've invited her to the wedding because she's Betty's plus one." Cheryl argued.
"I don't care, you've cheated before and you'll do it again!" Josie yelled.
"Great bringing up the past once again!Even two days before our wedding you still find a problem! And you want to argue!" Cheryl screamed.
"Whatever Cheryl, I'll see you in the morning."
Through the evening, Cheryl stayed upstairs in the bedroom watching Christmas films whilst Josie stayed downstairs working on some music. Whilst doing so, Josie knew that she needed to apologise. She walked upstairs and found Cheryl crying at a sad film.
"I told you, these films ain't no good for you." Josie said standing by the door.
"What do you want?" Cheryl sniffled.
"Baby, I'm sorry. I know I have nothing to worry about. I get jealous easily, you know that. Look, I can't wait to marry you and actually see you walk down that aisle." Josie said sitting on the edge of the bed. Cheryl smiled just after wiping tears from her puffy eyes.
"I know, when you yell... I yell. It's like world war three." Cheryl said.
"Want to order Chinese?" Josie asked.
"Sure, but you're paying." Cheryl laughed.
A few hours later...
Josie couldn't sleep as she was still worried. Even though she had sorted everything out with Cheryl, she still felt uneasy. Deep down she still wondered if there was anything going on between Cheryl and Veronica. She grabbed Cheryl's phone and looked through her messages. She knew what she was doing was completely wrong, she started to look through her photos and found a old one. It was of Cheryl and Veronica on the Riverdale Vixens cheer team. A rush of jealously came over her and she put the phone back where it was and made a decision.
The next morning...
Cheryl woke up and brushed her arm to her left, the bed was empty. Instead of finding Josie she found a letter.
It read;
I'm sorry Cheryl, it's gotten too much. We're constantly arguing, every day there's always something. I know it's been mostly my fault but it's not fair on you. I've made the decision to leave, I can't let you marry a monster that will drag you down nearly everyday. I hope you understand. I know this might come as a shock to you but I hope you find someone better and more caring than I ever was. Forever always... Your Josie
Cheryls heart dropped, she grabbed her phone and called her mom.
"Mommy, Josie. She's gone. The weddings off. I don't know what to do." Cheryl cried.
