Friends? (Barchie)

Betty laid on her bed waiting for Archie to come over with the snacks for their movie night. It was sort of a tradition, that every week they would have a movie night together and just talk about any problems they had. Betty was the only one Archie opened up to.

"Finally, took you long enough!"

"Sorry, dad wanted to stop by Veronica's to see Hermione."

"Of course, anyway, I was thinking how about we binge watch the new season of Stranger Things!" Betty said excitedly.

"Eh go on then." Archie said.

"So everything okay lately?"

"Yeah, kinda. Have you ever liked someone and yet you can't tell anyone because it could ruin a lot of things?" Archie rushed.

"Woah what's brought this on? And... who is she?"

"It's this girl in my English class. She's smart, caring and she's beautiful."

"Wow...  someone's in looove..." Betty teased.

"I'm not in love. I just think she's pretty." Archie assured.

"Mhm if you say so. Does she have a name?" Betty asked wanting to get as much information as she could.

"Can't say. Don't want to push things wit her because I don't want our friendship damaged."

"Our?"

"Uh...Yeah... you know mine and hers..."

"Oh for a minute there I thought you meant me and you." A clueless Betty said.

"I just don't know what to do Betty." Archie said hoping Betty would give him advice.

"I say one day at lunch, you walk right up to her and you simply say, 'Wanna go out on a date this Saturday at Pops?' And live happily ever after." Betty suggested.

"It's not that simple. How would you feel if someone came up to you and confessed their love for you."

"I would be shocked and flattered. Trust me this girl will be the luckiest girl when she finds out that you, Archie Andrews, has a crush on her." Betty said.

"But-"

"Isht! It's starting!" Betty said has the programme began. Archie didn't pay attention at all to the programme as his mind was racing with thoughts on how to ask this girl out.

The next morning...
Archie didn't sleep at all... Betty on the other hand slept like a baby.

"Hey Jug, hey Veronica!" Betty said standing next to their lockers.

"How was your movie night? Nice to have an invite..." Jughead said.

"Oh don't be so jealous that I have better friends than you..." Betty snapped.

"You two will you ever stop fighting?!" Veronica yelled. "Anyway, has anyone seen Archie? He was late to English today." Veronica added. Betty's face lit up when she realised the girl was Veronica.

"Oh he wasn't?" Betty asked.

"No, he's been quite weird lately. I asked him something and he just doesn't answer... it's weird."

"Speaking of the devil." Jughead said as Archie approached. He came up to the group and faced Betty and Veronica. Betty got excited has she thought Archie would ask Veronica finally.

"Hey Archie..." Veronica said.

"Hey Ronnie. I was wondering if you would like to come or Saturday at pops?" Archie said.

"Woah Archie, I didn't think you liked me in that way-" Veronica started.

"Oh no Veronica, I was talking to Betty." Betty gasped, her face went red. Everyone was confused.

"Are you sure?" Betty said in shock.

"Yeah, you're the one who said I should go for it." Archie smirked.
