Detention Part 2 (Jeronica)

The next day...
"Hey Veronica!" Jughead called down the corridor. Veronica stopped walking forward and turned around.

"Go ahead girls." Veronica said to her friends.

"How about Saturday night?" Jughead asked.

"Archie's party?"

"Yeah we'll go together. Show them what they're missing." Jughead suggested. Jughead could tell that Veronica was thinking of it.

"I'll let you know." Veronica said whilst heading back to her friends. Jughead desperately wanted to take Veronica to the party not just to rub it in Archie's and Betty's face buy deep down there was something about her that intrigued him.

Saturday night...
Veronica wore her classic black cocktail dress. She hadn't confirmed it with Jughead but who else could he have taken? She got in her private car and headed to his trailer. She knocked on the door and waited for an answer... Jughead answered with a confused look on his face.

"Jughead Jones... please say you're kit wearing that." Veronica said looking at his dirty white tank top and ripped black jeans.

"Evening to you too. What are you doing here dressed like that too?" Jughead questioned.

"Well I've decided to take you as my date to Archie's." Veronica said.

"Well well well..." Jughead replied.

"Yes or no? We don't have all night." Veronica snapped.

"Okay... give me 5 I need to find a outfit." Jughead said running back into his trailer. Finally a few minutes later Jughead and Ronnie were on their way to Archie's.

"Nervous?" Jughead asked.

"Me? Never." Veronica lied. Really she was petrified. She was about to walk into her exes home. A house that belonged to someone who broke her heart into pieces. They arrived, Jughead opened the car door for her and they linked arms. They both took a deep breath and walked in. All eyes were on them. The music was pounding their eyes like their hearts.

"I'll grab us a drink." Jughead said. Veronica nodded. She sat on the couch waiting for his return. Someone sat next to her... she was hoping it was Jughead but it was her worst nightmare... Archie.

"So you turn up with him?" Archie said, drunk.

"Yes, is it a problem?" Veronica asked.

"In fact it is. You can't just come into my house and disrespect me. He's my ex best friend!" Archie said getting worked up.

"And so is Betty! And if I remember you invited me. I'm giving you a taste of your own medicine." Veronica said. Archie cut her off by kissing her aggressively.

"Archie get off me!" Veronica said pushing him off her.

"Everything okay over here?" Jughead said behind Veronica.

"Let's leave." A bothered Ronnie replied whilst grabbing her bag and Jughead and heading for the door.

"Good riddance slut." Archie said. Out of no where Jughead swung and hit Archie. It was like a boxing match. Everyone began to get involved to try and break it up. Finally the two were separated.

"Get out." Archie muttered.

"Happy to." Jughead said picking his hat up off the floor and placed his arm around Veronica and left. 

"Are you crazy?!" Veronica said walking home.

"What? He called you a slut which is not true by the way." Jughead said wiping the blood from his lip.

"Why would you do that though?"

"You didn't deserve it." Jughead said. Veronica was shocked. He was probably the first boy that didn't see her that way.

"This is me." She said reaching The Pembroke. She leant forward and kissed him on his lips. He followed.

"Thank you." She whispered in his ear before going inside her home. Jughead couldn't help but smile on his way home. Veronica was definitely something special to him.
