Date Night (Bughead)

Betty woke up with a pounding headache, stuffy nose and a swollen throat. There was no way she could into school today. Even though she had a test she couldn't complete it with how bad her head was.

"Betty! You're going to be late!" Alice said walking into Betty's bedroom.

"Mom, I'm too ill. My throat is killing me." Betty whispered.

"Oh no, Betty, you have that big test today and you're university applicant goes off today." Alice said.

"I'm sorry mom, but I can't." Betty struggled to speak.

"Fine, I'll call the principle. Are you going to be okay by yourself?"

"Yeah, maybe I'll just sleep it off." Betty said.

"Okay, well I'm only a call away and so is your dad. I'll call later just to check up on you." Alice kissed Betty on the forehead before leaving for work. Betty grabbed her phone and texted Jughead.

Betty- Hey sweetie, won't be able to make date night, really ill today

Jughead- Okay... are you home alone?

Betty- Yeah, why?

There was no reply. Betty worried about what Jughead was up to. She shoved her phone in the drawer next to her bed and headed back to sleep. Again... she woke up in pain but it was due to the doorbell ringing. She had been asleep for 2 hours, she got up and walked slowly to the door. Her vision was blurred and her head was fuzzy. She finally reached the door and opened it. She was greeted by a happy Jughead holding 3 pizza boxes, chocolate and some flowers.

"Oh and I got some medicine." Jughead said. Betty smirked and allowed him to come in. 

"How you feeling?" Jughead said wrapping his arms around Betty in bed.

"Worse, I just need that pizza right away."

"Your wish is my command." Jughead said whilst opening up the pizza boxes.

"Why did you come here when there's a slim chance you could become ill?" Betty asked picking up a piece of pizza.

"Well you couldn't make date night so I brought date night to you. More like date afternoon though." Jughead said pressing play on the DVD player.

"Oh Jug, can we talk about University?"

"Oh come on Betty, you know it'll get into an argument."

"No it won't, I have good news." Jugheads face lightened.

"Go on..."

"I got in."

"Which one?!"

"Michigan!" Betty smiled. Jughead jumped up and hugged Betty.

"Woah, still a bit sore."

"Oh sorry."

"It's okay, I thought now would be the right time to tell you. We're going to university together Jug." Betty smiled.

They both fell asleep half way through the film, but as they were sleeping, Alice came back home. She had left work early to check up on Betty and found Jughead in her bed.

"Betty Cooper!" Alice yelled.

"Mom! What are you doing Home?!" Betty panicked.

"Hey Mrs Cooper... I ugh came over to look after Betty."

"Is that what you kids call it these days?!" Alice yelled grabbing Jugheads bags.

"No mom!"

"Okay well it was nice seeing you Betty and uh... Mrs Cooper. I'll see you tomorrow." Jughead said grabbing his bags and running out.

"You're going to school tomorrow!" Alice demanded.
